Virtua-ly the same... But that's not all bad...

User Rating: 8.1 | Virtua Tennis: World Tour PSP
If you enjoy the arcade versions of Virtua Tennis, or if you enjoyed the older versions, you feel right at home here. As to whether you want to play nearly the same game all over again, well, that comes down to personal preference.

Gameplay: Virtua Tennis, has unparalleled on the court play with extremely realistic physics. You feel like you are in complete control at all times, being able to place the ball exactly where you want it, especially as your skills improve. Off the court, the game remains somewhat fun, but most of the mini-games are really quite the joke.

Graphics: No complaints here. Everything looks smooth and refined and the framerate stays smooth. The interfaces all look great and the detail is quite impressive on the court.

Sound: Well, the music is one of the main down-falls of this game. It just sounds like garbage. It doesn't really suit the game very well. The grunts are realistic, though...

Value: The single-player world tour will last you quite awhile, and continuing to work towards leveling up keeps things interesting. It makes you want to keep picking it up to make yourself as good as you can be. Ad-Hoc multiplayer is nice, but where's the infrastructure mode?

This is the same Virtua Tennis you've been playing for the last few years though, and in the end, you must decide. Is it worth it to invest your hard earned money in this? In the end, I say yes.

Positives:
+ Great game of tennis, with realistic physics
+ Graphics and interfaces are pleasing to the eye
+ Lengthy World Tour
+ Ad-Hoc Multiplayer

Negatives:
- No infrastructure mode
- The music is awful
- The mini-games are real yawners
