If you, like me, play Virtua Tennis series since Sega Saturn, and loved all the games, will certainly love this one too!

User Rating: 8 | Power Smash 4 VITA
Of course, many tennis fans will be tempted to try this one, but is this
game suitable also for casual tennis spectators? How does it compare to
console and PC versions? Let's find out.

First time I played Virtua Tennis 4 was on my PC, and, to be honest I didn't
like it as much as I liked the older versions, somehow gameplay was not
the same, and some changes have made it not so enjoyable to me, and this
was blocking me from trying the Vita version, I didn't know if I would be
spending my money right by buying it without having a demo on the US PSN
store like other games have ( from the date of this review, there wasn't
a demo, maybe in the future ), but I decided to risk it.
Unfortunelly I cannot compare it to Ps3 and Xbox versions since I don't own
those devices, but my guess it's very close to the desktop version.

First time I loaded an exhibition match I was very much impressed by the
graphics of the game, it's a really good show of Vita's capabilities, if not the
same, it's really close to it's big brother's versions and the gameplay
engine felt improved to me.
I can't say the game is a total simulation, I play tennis in my life for some
years now and I really enjoy the game, but it's not so arcade as you would expect,
this, talking about the matches, because the trainings are mini games,
fun to play too, but very " arcadish ".

Talking about mini games, the ones on the World Tour are exactly like the
ones on other versions, with the addition on the Vita's port of the mini games
that uses Vita's hardware like the gyroscope and camera, etc.

Online play is very fun, but I'd suggest you have a good speed internet
connection in order not to have problems. I could test it on a 300k internet,
and it's hard to play, occasionally you experience lags and bad timed hits,
serves don't hit well too, all you could expect. Testing it on a 10mb net,
it's very much smoother.
Also, Sega released an update for it, and appart from many in game
improvements we see some changes to internet connections to make it
better, punishment to people who simply run away from ranked matches,
and other minor good changes.

So far I talked about the pros of the game, that because the cons, well
I didn't really see any so far, and I played this game a lot already!
Maybe to see the cons I lack some depth on my points of view, and
as I really like Tennis everything suits me.

To sum up, if you are an occasional Tennis spectator, or you just a gamer
who wants to experience this sport game, I'd say give it a try, i'ts fun
and challenging, worth every cent.
Are you a hardcore Tennis fan? Then you will too like this game, try and
beat the world stars on very hard mode!
