Peopole think that a game is good if it´s new, but they are wrong. Virtua Fighter is the proof.
First at all, the game Is 3D, very different to the 2D fighting games like super street fighter 2 or mortal kombat. The game tries to give you a realism feeling, so you will not see any fire balls, tornado kicks or unreal fatalities. Only Real martial arts, performed by Real peopole fighting in Real Places.
The characters: The game isn´t the most creative of all, but it has charismatic classic characters. You will very like a character very fastly.
Akira: The classic martial artist thare is NEVER missed on a fighting game. In first instance, he looks like Ryu, and his moves actualy do. Like Ryu, he is the perfect character to learn how to play. He has strong attacks, but is defenseless if he fails them.
Pai: The Chunli of the game -_- thw asian girl who is fast an furious... I don´t use her very much (unlike chunli), but she´s a very good character.
Wolf: No, he is not a werewolf, he is the northen wrestler of the game. Of course, he has many Throws and is very strong. Unlike Zangief, he is not a steroid gorila.
KageMaru: My favorite character. He is fast and has many throws. Is the second most balanced Character of the game.
Jeffry: he is like E.Honda, the big guy who is understimated most of the time. He is the character I use less, but he is very good. He just isn´t my style. He is australiand, but I think he should be fron the Caribean or Venezuela, he has our special charisma.
Sarah: The "Pretty Girl" of the game. She´s very fast, a good option if you are the Cammy/ChunLi style.
Jacky: The most balanced character.
The stages are very simple, you must play the same stage twice to understand what it is. Like sarah´s stage. I finaly understood it was the roof a building at night.
The game seems to have just a few and useless options, but in the folder with the game´s data, you can see a configuration file, where you can modify the controls, music, and even choose if you want textures (cool graphics) or the colored polygons of the arcade version.
The game has also many mistakes. One of them is that you can´t go out of the battle if you don´t die or go out of the game with Alt+F4 or semthing like that.
In conclusion, this is one of the best Fighting games for a computer with windows, even today, and it can be played in many computers, it doesn´t need too much for running good. It´s very hard at the start, but you will see it´s just right. And of you want a complet gaming experience, you HAVE to play Virtua Fighter 2 for Pc.
