i love the saturn,in fact im playing it right now. those JAP saturn commercials are cra-zlike when the fat fuy lands face first and xplodes
Does Gamespot even read their own reviews? Their own freaking review states that the RAM cart came free with X-men vs Street Fighter and other games that needed it.
The Saturn wasn't as powerful in 3-D as the Playstation, and it suffered from horrible management decisions and bad marketing. Their biggest mistake was releasing it early in May 1995 and pissing off retailers by only allowing Toys R' Us and a few select retailers carry it. They had only a couple of games at release. Had they gotten the Saturn right, Sega might still be making consoles today. What a sad ending to a once great company.
@Gelugon_baat Ridiculous indeed. I've posted a user video to my profile that features all of Segata Sanshirou's commercials back to back. Check it out if any of you are interested in seeing more!
NAWAF005, because it was not profitable for them to keep makeing hardware. after seeing the 32x,saturn and dreamcast "i loved the dc" fail and seeing how very strong sony had become with the playstation brand ect they figured they would make more money as a 3rd party dev/publisher.They just lost so much money they knew they had to make a huge change or face the very real posabilty of there company going under.
The first Resident Evil I played was on Sega Saturn, the graphics were like squares everywhere but it scared the crap out of me. And the biggest scare was when you tried to leave the mansion and suddenly an "half-shredded-face" doberman appears from nothing in fullscreen :D
I remember getting the choice back in the day between the PS1 and Saturn. In the end, I made the right decision I think. And lol @ "it's people"
