Virtua Cop is pure fun from its beginning to its end. The game is a port from the arcade and it was very well transported to the Sega Saturn. The game is divided into 3 levels with different difficulty: easy, normal and hard. You moust beat all of them in order to finish the game. Virtua Cop is a light gun based game but you can use Saturn´s controller to play it. Basically you shoot everything that moves but in this game there is some interactivity with the scenarios allowing you to blast windows. In terms of weapons you can upgrade the one you own or switch to a most powerful weapon if available. At the end of each stage you must battle its boss. The game has a 2 player mode split-screen to add even more fun. Graphics are clear but Saturn was never a great system when 3D was required. The textures are pretty good and also the graphic´s resolution. The sound part of the game is really one of the strongest points. Great sound effects like shots and bullets ricocheting. The music is average, not really exciting. Virtua Cop is short but incredibly fun.
