WOW, this is one of the best games I've played, why Gamespot? Why?

This is a prime reason why I don't judge the game based only on mainstream reviews, but really, a 5 is completely undeserved. This game has some great scale and the battles feel epic when you see hundreds of vikings fighting beside you in the battlefield. The music builds and there's some great concepts put in this title. It's funny, I haven't played the new "Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" but for what I've seen it sounds a lot like this one, even the main character is named "Skarin", hum...

I found this game in the bargain bin, and the cover was very appealing to me, so I gave it a shot with low expectations. The gameplay it's quite easy to understand, and the battling system is one of the bests that I've experienced, you can level up powers and weapons and you can also learn/unlock new fighting mechanisms that gives the game a pretty good balance, but this game is not that hard and it will not frustrate you with unfair AI tactics. You can summon dragons and they'll fight beside you.

You can tell that the developers put alot of love in this game, and it ha a terrific feel. The animations are great and the villages feel alive and it's impressive how many characters this game can handle at the same time. There's some slowdown in some sgments and chopping enemies never get's old.The audio design is not that great tho, when you run it sounds like a horse and when you summon a dragon it just silly the noises that Skarin makes, LOL.

If you're looking for a good Lord of the Rings feel and some interesting plot, you should give this game a chance, I just fell in love.
