Vigilante 8 was a good start in the series two bad there was only one game after it.

This game is similar to Twisted Metal but, it has totally different gameplay it is a good game to play after you have played a lot of twisted metal and if you want to try another car combat game. It has a decent amount of characters but, only ten levels which makes this game seem a bit short. You can either play as a Vigilante and do protection missions in story or a Coyote and have missions in destroying things which would probably be more entertaining.

This game wasn't made to be quite as easy as twisted metal the wrenches you pick you for health only give a small amount of health. Specials in this game can stack up to a very high number which makes facing the AI hard at times because they tend to keep on using their special at times. Also in this game you can only have three weapons at a time so if you pick up another weapon that is not one of the three you already have it will be replaced by the new weapon. You can also pick up shields and X's to increase attack power for your weapons for a set time.

Vigilante eight has three difficulty levels which means that practically anyone could play this game. I would recommend this game to anyone that wants a classic car combat game or if you are a little tired of Twisted Metal.
