:/ I just miss the good Ninja Gaiden games. 1 & 2 were tons of fun even though they were a stiff challenge. If the devs wanted to appeal to a more casual audience with 3, they should have just made an extra easy difficulty instead of screwing up the gameplay. Now instead of admitting their mistake and returning to the style of the good games, they decide to go a more comic book style? Hardly even resembles the same franchise anymore..
I love these types of games, where they don't take themselves seriously. Also, Keiji Inafune, is involved with the character designs and the character of Yaiba-- so, that is more the reason for me to get this game.
this looks pretty epic! i like the art work that they used in this game, it will look excellent on my 3-D TV. I agree with everything DamnLoveGames said about it. the combat looks great & i dig a game that is a bit goofy. you dont see much of these b-movie type of games. i dig them. day one purchase for me.
also it was a smart idea that they used another character to play off of that doesnt take away from the other games & their storylines. it gives the Ninja Gaiden series a whole new life.
I was skeptical at first, but not going to lie, I don't mind this so much since it is using a different character. This game looks pretty interesting. Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3 were nowhere near as good as the first one on the xbox was.
I am actually excited for a Ninja Gaiden game. Haven't been in a long time. Just glad it isn't a reboot and a change of Ryu. That would have ruined it for me. Like the DMC game. Never played that and never will.
I'm honestly looking forward to this. From the looks of the game, it knows it's silly and goofy and cliched and as such doesn't try to take itself seriously. I'm quite liking the art style and trust the combat will be good. Honestly, if you go into this looking for a serious game you'll probably be severely disappointed, but if you want something that's crazy and stupid you'll enjoy it. An awkward decision? Given Ninja Gaiden's past, probably, but I honestly don't mind so long as the gameplay is solid.
Cringe inducing speech....ugh no thanks. Mixture of frat boy and try hard too edgy for life character. Its like DMC:dmc all over again.
@Spartan-1657 Shame on you for missing out on an outstanding game. And you have hopes for this clunky-looking spin-off? Really?
@bdl1980 There's only one problem with your theory: it's not a remake of Ryu Hayabusa. IT'S A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CHARACTER.
