Personally I am excited to see how this turns out. It seems promising. It seems to take the fantastic combat of ninja gaiden and mix it with a crazy over the top Suda 51 style story. So that intrigues me. I also think the art style actual benefits a game like this. where they can make the violence even more over the top in previous ninja gaiden games, the first 2 were great! never played 3. However I think it is wrong to count this game out because it sways from its predecessors. People did the same thing to the Wind Waker, and it turned out to be a fantastic game. Cel-shading is a very legit graphic style and people should not discount a game just because it is a little different. Everything deserves a chance!
Why do they gotta make Ninja Gaiden cel-shaded it looks stupid now oh well atleast I still have the ones that are good that's the first one and the second one.
This game appears to have style. If it's as strong on gameplay too, then I'm really looking forward to it.
So...cell shade graphics style aside, how is this different from the previous NGs on current platforms?
For anyone bashing this, IT'S SUPPOSED TO LOOK CRAZY. It's called Ninja Gaiden 'Z' for a reason, it's styled after Dragon Ball Z. This isn't part of the official story, it's just a spin-off so stop being pansies.
I am a longtime fan of the series and this looks absolutely horrible ! The only true NG games are Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2, Ninja Gaiden 3 was horrible at launch and the Razors Edge upgrade is slightly more enjoyable but still not on par with the excellent first two games and this just looks like a cartoonish cell shaded mess.
@DIGN I took it more as a spin-off of World War Z, Day Z, etc. its just a game that asks the age old question, "How would a ninja handle the zombie horde?"
@DIGN lacking inspiration so they have to base it on a manga ou say? Was Ninja Gaiden Sigma based on Dragon Ball Sigma? It doesn't matter : the serie has been crap for a long time now and I don't see any change.
