I wish the handgun at 3:00 truly existed; I'd add it to my collection. Further than that, I'm a huge fan of the Wolfenstein legacy REGARDLESS of the title. Wolfenstein 3D and Spear of Destiny set the stage for near immortality for me...haha... I liked the Wolfenstein game for PS3 with the veil theme, and I'm digging the alternate history storyline for this one. I'm gonna hold off to play this one via PS4. I'm a sucker for whole Blake vs. The Nazis duality.
When you mounted that laserbeam gun, u can see how dumb enemy AI really is ;) i hope they fix it! looks oldschool wolfenstein, which i like!
Graphics look subpar, its kinda killing it for me considering how great games like titanfall, bf4, cod:ghosts, and destiny look so far
Obviously what makes me mad is that they didn't want to include multi-player...SERIOUSLY?!
Did no one ever play the RTCW (return to castle wolfenstein not WOLF-3D) on the PC and the Xbox?? The multi-player was amazing, team based/objective based multi-player, then the stand alone free to play RTCW:Enemy Territory the best online multi-player of it's time in my opinion. I hope someone is going to come along and make another one at least, it would definitely be welcomed.
Don't get me wrong the Single player elements to a game are great and that's why I've played the Wolfenstein series since Wolf3D. But it's also the replay value of the multi-player that keeps you coming back.
I am starting to follow this game since the news stated that this game have no MP. Singleplayer FTW!!!
This game could be named Call Of Duty. I would prefer to play again the first Wolfenstein than play this...
I hope they can tune up difficulty with a smarter AI than I saw here. Still, looking good, and I can carry more than 2 guns? That's something I always liked of old school.
My only concern is that the AI looks really stupid. Other than that, this game is shaping up to be pretty good.
Dual-wielding fully automatic weapons? Nah. Pistols, sure, maybe...and at least he wasn't using two laser turrets. AI looked kind of "dumb": one soldier "hiding" around a doorway (actually standing in the open, at 8:28) and the one officer walking up right in the sights of the turret, then dropping like a rock (8:48) seemed kind of "clunky". After some fine-tuning, the game should be excellent.
those mechs are boring. no destructible covers, crumbling under the bullet of giant mechs ... ??!!
and the animations. that dogymech gameplay shows our poor the immersion can be.
red faction was a better game and that was 10 years a go.
Hopefully the cutting tool is as useful as it sounds. Seems satisfying to cut holes in cover and shoot through it.
Lean and shoot under cover as well? Nice, kind of reminds me of the original FEAR game on PC. Loved that game, was amazing
Meh, it's not arcadey enough and the gameplay is too slow to be Wolfenstein. Looks a little boring and too modernized. Might be worth it when it goes on sale for 5 bucks.
The tangible feel this game looks like it has, really reminds me of Killzone 2 and was one of the main pillars that drew my interest. Can't fucking wait!
This isn't alternate history, this is truth. The Nazis did win the war, they just all went to the States after the war, and democracy is dead, just look at the front news. Constitutional rights are being stripped away, that's if there are any left.
@Psilyocybin Uh, I'd rather play a wonderfully fleshed out single player that is graphically amazing, retains old school health mechanics, weapon mechanics and utilizes dynamic cover with a buttload of difficulties and massive areas to explore and flush out making it similar to Zelda games in that regard. While enjoying the hell out of it's no-HUD immersive feel over some cruddy, tacked on multiplayer that a fraction of its' buyers would actually bother to play. There's tons of MP shooters out there, pick one.
@JC_AEK4ever If you were old enough - better yet, had more life-experience than you show with your remark - to play and finish the first wolfenstein. Maybe you would see that this game is much closer to the plot/story and theme of the first wolfenstein than any other game launched under the "wolfenstein" name. I hope you understand my comment. It might be hard, because with your comment you show that you know almost nothing of the first wolfenstein installment. Bye.
@GT_APE The last wolfenstein was actually pretty good if you played the game you'd know
@Brakkyn It also looked like he was playing on a really low diff setting. Possibly Easy.
@Ramiro00 like your avatar?
@sunbeam4 Uh, what?
@sunbeam4 Yeah, thinking I preferred the zombies to the mechs.
@Mudvayne84 Yeah, regenrate to 20% of health totally sound like FEAR.
@JazzFromHell Yeah, alot actually.
@flesh19no Yep, id tech 5.
@hardvectorman I really respect Kevin Van Ord's opinions and he seemed very impressed with it. And I've played Wolfenstein games since the original IBM PC games in the mid-80's. I think the only one I missed was 3D, which is probably the most famous one lol.
@Wizdigo Says the guy that most likely, as most Americans, couldn't recite the Bill of Rights if his life depended on it.
Oh but I'm sorry, you believe that because the Patriot Act was actually put through (yet rarely used to the preferred "emergency courts" options that grants the feds "emergency warrants" to conduct last minute raids or wire-taps on suspected targets that threaten domestic national security) that "freedom is dead". Yeah, which is why you are allowed to say the shit you are saying right now, and it's why you can hold protests out on the White House lawn over [insert policy here I understand little about because media networks spoon feed me opinions], form your own political grouping/party (U.S. Communist Party anyone?), can retain your own opinion of civil society openly as long as it's in a peaceful/non-violent manner and in private (hey guess what, no one likes racists right? Well, they are still permitted to be racist amongst their friends and family, only in private), literally be apart of any religion from Satanism to Buddhism, read about government conspiracies in the National Inquirer and meme the Hell out of the U.S. President at the Democratic National Convention.
Let's see what you can do in the P.R.C. by comparison... *Searches democracy on Google in China, "Search results removed by governmental authority."*
@Wizdigo you're wrong, they're in Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay rounding up sons of italian and spanish inmigrant to still do dirty work as skinheads and feed 'em that stupid idea of racial superiority. Pretty weird huh? I heard the new head of KKK had and Italian last name.
@Wizdigo Troll in the dungeon!!!!
@Wizdigo SHHHHH! dont wake the dummies!
@Wizdigo As Joe Strummer said, "Know your rights!! All three of them."

@GT_APE @DSCesq @moonkill3 I initially logged in just to reply on your first comment. Now that you are considering to give the game another chance, my faith in you as a person is slightly restored. Honestely, if you were only dissapointed in it being a console port, I can almost asure you that if you try to finish the game that about a quarter-or-less through you will feel complied to see it through to the end. Finishing the game felt greatly rewarding in my opinion. Personal likings might differ. (Edit: My reply was aimed at GT_APE)
