That guy is really, really enjoying himself. I wonder why. Also, "we're adapting, we're not downscaling... *blah blah blah*...we're working to get the art down to a certain scale." Face it John. You're downscaling.

Proof that PC > Console: the following is a quote from CDProject Red (you can find the full article on Rock, Paper, Shotgun): "All DLC for the PC version is, and will remain, free. That's not likely to be true for the Xbox version, because of certain Microsoft policies that need to be followed. But on PC, once you buy our game, you don't need to worry about any additional costs; we will provide all updates, including those that feature new content, for free. I think it's reasonable that when you buy our product, you can expect us to service that product for quite a long time after release."

Yea, Jane.. don't bother asking about the possibility of a PS3 version or anything... I realize she's not likely to get a definitive response, but you gotta ask the question.

free downloadables...i wish all could do that that said - i really want this game on a ps3, i would prefer it to be easier though if it is that hard that friends say:S i know some like it really hard but i have many games to play so i dont wanna be stuck on a game and then simply move on to another game - i wanna keep following the story i wish this company tons of success!

I guess since my pc can barely play the video I'm one of those poor schmucks who has to play it on console - but I couldn't be happier to see a game like this coming to the 360.

@Vogtass - Full agreeance, co-op/mp would completely ruin this game *Shudder*, that's another thing that makes PC gamers worry when something goes multi-plat, all the sudden single player isn't good enough, shoot, look what's happening to X-Com, it's a Strategy game on PC, going multi-plat and they turned it into a shooter, want some fireworks, bring that up in a PC forum. Another Polish studio is releasing Hard Reset promising a return to classic old school PC Single Player FPS, no multi player and we're eating it up- it's PC exclusive and no one's whining about mp/co-op, it's a nice dark cyberpunk game. The Witcher/2 should remain true to the books that it's based on and remain single player. *I'm not hating, these are just facts.

Notice he wouldn't admit it being easier, he just says, smoother learning curve, well on PC you don't get a smooth learning curve in this game. Sounds easier to me. Seriously people I'm not hating, to be honest, most average PC gamers (myself included) wouldn't mind a previous exclusive going beyond the platform *if* we don't get the shaft in the process. That's seriously the main gripe. Were it the other way around, you'd learn the hard way as we have to see things that way, why- because it nearly always happens, PC gamers get jaded. Fortunately for us, CDPR has made for the PC first, some PC'ers out there have cried foul with the new fighting style saying it's 'consoley' and not well controlled, others say, well, just get used to it, you hear different things, personally I liked the control in the first game better, it wasn't so hap-hazard but a lot of people whined over that too-so I guess you can't win. Also there was a Versus Mode in the first one- check that out if interested. Bottomline, so long as we get a quality game, you won't hear the average PC gamer complain, but there are bad apples in every bunch. *Peace.

Take note "major studios and publishers", THIS is what is called customer service and how you build customer loyalty. NOT by putting out Day One DLC's and charging for every little small weapon, gadget or half-baked add-on mission. Also those hostage pre-order bonuses (I am talking to you Deus EX:HR) who removes an entire side mission, and character (cough-cough SHALE of DA:O). Shame on you. CDProjekt had me long ago when they released the Witcher 1 enhanced edition patches as a FREE download to existing customers (even after a year I bought the game). When TW2 came out, it was a guaranteed pre-order for me. And here they go again, putting the customer first, what a wild concept eh?

Thank you CD Projekt and Atari! Pre-order for 360 for sure. Great opportunity for console gaming, and I hope PS3 users get the same chance. This plus free PC update also included for 360 version almost makes me weep with joy. Why the f**k can't other developers and publishers take this approach. For shame EA, Activision, Blizzard, Bioware etc etc.

Can't wait for a new PC to get this game. I'm thinking a, 6 core intel, 12gb ram, and 3gb video card would own this game. Cant wait!

It will be interesting to see how it does on 360. I bought this for PC, I'm lucky enough to have a high end custom rig. However, I would definitely play this on a console If I did not have the PC that I do. Great company with a fantastic approach to updates, all the best to them.

I'm impressed with the fact this game has remained among the 10 most popular games in this site for more than 3 months in a row... Myself a long time fan, I kinda expected TW2 would remain mostly a "niche" game, just as TW1... It's AWESOME that this series is being "discovered" or acknowledged by more and more people... :-)

@Vojtass Thank you for correcting me on Geralt's name. It was unintentional. You misunderstood me a bit. I too am reluctant to make The Witcher co-op exactly because it wouldn't suit Geralt. However, I like what CD Projekt has done with The Witcher so I want to see what they could do with a co-op game. I brought up Geralt and Triss as an example because I don't know any other games from CD Projekt. The way those two characters had their own adventures that also intertwined appealed to me. Implementing that won't be easy, of course, but that's part of the fun.

CDProject laughs in the face of pay-for DLCs. They've got my vote.

It still disturbs me that devs feel that console users cant play their games like pc players, well heads up folks some of us are pc players that wish to chill out on our settees to play the same games. So kudos to this game for trying to keep it to the same level of gameplay. Console players are maturing, indeed some of us are seriously mature having been gamers since Pong. So come guys make the console games as good if not better than pc games. Yeah! Peace Out:D

I don't belive how awesome and cool CPR are. They are the best game developer and CPR is one of the very few reasons I'm still playing games. For you who haven't played it yet, do so. For you'll never know when a outstanding game like this comes out next time. For now-a-days many game developers are just lazy money-sucking a$$holes.

no_fear_in_hell
no_fear_in_hell

I assume the PS3 possibilty depends on the success of the 360 version... If it's a great success, they could afford hiring new people and arranging a special team to deal with that, while they keep the others working either in future expansions or the witcher 3 (CDP is not a big company...).

Vojtass
Vojtass

@Unfallen_Satan It's Geralt, not Gerald. Second thing - multiplayer would kill the story. The Witcher series is a single player experience. Besides co-op has no sense - Geralt is a mutant, he was trained to slay most dangerous monsters in this world. No one can do it better, maybe except other witcher. Geralt in the books always fight with monsters alone

@hrothgar99 Currently no info on that matter. It's been hinted that there would be, but I think that's not happening.

The good old sit back on a couch and enjoy the console version reasoning. I understand if your PC is in another room and not next to your TV/ couch. However if it is near your tv just buy a HDMI cable and plug your pc into your tv , it really is incredibly simple. Even if your pc is far away from your tv, you can still drill a tiny hole in your wall and run a long hdmi cable to your tv. Also the PC version lets you use a xbox 360 controller and ps3 controller.

Unfallen_Satan
Unfallen_Satan

You are awesome, CD Projekt! I think Gerald is too awesome to be traded for a multiplayer experience, but I hope a co-op RPG game with the same quality as the Witcher is in your future. Instead of generic characters, I would still prefer story-driven set characters, maybe just a couple. They would have their own stories and quests that intertwined, like Gerald and Triss for example. This final thought is off topic, but I think the Axe commercial I saw before the interview is the best one yet. It's actually funny. And is that Cameron Diaz?
