well games survival depends on many things, so when it will be released then we could only judge
cuz GW2 was so promising.. but when came out.. well a lot small things just killed it and made it total crap, that many pp dont gen even max lvl and just quit it
Nothing i've didn't seen already.
Subscription not justified. Not on this game nor Elder Scrols Online or any other mmo. F2P model fits just fine on the current world wide economy and unemployment levels.
Regardless of WoW similarities, the game looks great and fun to play. Hopefully the game actually has the longevity of Wow or the subscription model may be its doom.
Great job.... First off WoW ... already has been doing the """"Dont Stand In It"""" type raid stuff for 10 years.. Durp And Guild Wars 2 has already did the CC boss system. Must remove their CC debuff before you can CC them. DUrp.
The hitboxes and targeting on this game is horrible, feels like a tacled on "semi-dynamic" thing, ill play a mage in the hopes it disgusts me less, i had really high hopes for this game but the art style and the sub-par graphics reminds me so much of WoW and this targeting system reminds me so much of shit that i'm not that excited anymore... I'll still play it though and give it a chance.
People at gamespot don't even know the difference between Raid and Dungeon. One of the reason I don't trust Gamespot's MMO reviews.
So....This has the graphics of current WoW.....this "telegraph" stuff is currently being done in FFXIV:ARR....and the "stun armor" is currently being done in GW2, yet this guy is talking about them like they are a unique idea that they have come up with. I'm still a fan and play WoW, just started and am loving FFXIV:ARR, and have played a lot of GW2. If they can pull everything together right it could be interesting. For me right now know, it's merely "eh". We will just have to wait and see.
this video is awful and boring as hell... go to their site for vids to see what this game has to offer. this ONE vid makes it look boring as hell. I'm looking forward to this game coming out.
I am not too fond of this new WoW addon. I mean the houses are alright - beats hanging out in overcrowded towns. But this telegraph system will make an already easy game even easier..... wait.. this is not an addon for wow, it's actually a new game??... oh...
They kept going on and on about "telegraphing" as if this was something new. What MMO doesn't have this?
This game looks dull as can be
Wow i thought this was being made by ex-blizzard devs. Never thought it would be an excelent MMORPG but this as bad as any F2P korean MMORPG out there. So bland.
To me what made me cancel my pre-order was when i was playing BETA and despite the cool looking bosses encounters were so boring... No holy trinity , not even decent strategy. Just spam, die , go back and repeat.
Reall bad design for PVE.
And on PVP with down state ? Really?
So i canceled my pre-order and i never felt to go back. Too bad and GW2 was so promising. I agree with you all the way
@Abanaa the fun police decided to show up, btws, stock market reached record highs couple days ago, and unemployment levels have been dropping since 2011
@miked79 WoW doesn't start with the telegraph system right away Durp, I'm sure the devs of Wildstar have looked into WoW and other mmo's more than you have have uh durp, please and thank you
@miked79 Just stop please..
@AlmaDanny I've learned to not trust any review tbh,just play it myself and decide,take GW 2 reviews,they talk about it like it's the second coming of Christ,and the game is nothing but a casual walk around the park.
@Pheonix_38 has the graphics of wow?what have you been smoking?The only mmo i've seen that looks better than this is Black Desert,and that's not even in beta yet.Also,you should know that all those things you say are in other games,have been in this one from 2010-2011,so don't know who copied who.
@Bogzeh They had a party at Gamescom,and let the fans present play this dungeon,they died so many times at the dragon boss,it wasn't even funny.
@jojocoolio Welcome to the "World Of MMO's"
@Sl4cka That wasn't very clever. But okay, I see your bandwagon.
@Sl4cka ohohohohooooo look he made a funny
you're not as smart as you think you are
@Sl4cka ooooh my so clever
@darius343 Yet this still looks more fun and original than both of those games. I've already played RR so that's out.
@darius343 didnt realize people had played this game already. lucky you
@anthracisb this was take from a spectator perspective...there were not supposed to be any UI elements
@northArrow None of the ones that I've played have telegraphing. It's always been mostly single target with occasional AoE stuff. What game(s) have you seen a telegraph system like this in?
@MegamanX2011 i thought it wasn't released yet,didn't know people played it already
@MAXAM999 Free to play games are generally garbage, if not for the fact that it has no check on the swarms of morons that tend to just make the game miserable on some level or another for everyone else. (Yes, you get these regardless.)
@MAXAM999 it has a sub fee because the game costs 200 mil dollars,and will have a 300 men dev team after launch,f2p?what do you think this is,some cheap Korean game?
before that RIFT was promising too, but when I tried free trial and encountered all those currency types... well I quit at lvl 17. And now when its become "F2P" I tried again.. actually now its PAY 2 WIN
Im even thinking maybe return to WoW, but such high sub keeps me away :/
@jmant1233 @Abanaa Stock market is due to QE. Part time employment is rising but that isn't making anyone too well off. I'm doing pretty well at the moment but the only thing holding the economy up at the moment is the prospect of printing more money.
I agree with OP though, this looks like other MMO's. I'm playing FFXIV at the moment which is just like every other MMORPG too, so there isn't anything too wrong with that. I'm waiting on EQ Next in hopes of something groundbreaking.
@enartloc It surely looks like you're the one who's smoking here.
@enartloc @Bogzeh umm atleast thats a good sign that its not a "Casual Game" like other MMO's where all you have to do is get High level Armor and weapons and spam 1 button to Win ...
@Bastion00 Not at all. I've played WoW for several years. A couple of MMOs after that. Saw all the hype about GW2, so thought I'd try that. It felt interesting for the first 15 levels, but in the end it was made from the same old MMO recipe. Then I saw this game, and not to make the same mistake I did with GW2, watched all the videos on their website. So, even if my post might come off as a generic troll, in no way was I misinformed or influenced by others when I made it.
@bluepotatosack @northArrow Secret World, none that reposition in an unpredictable manner though. It's a fun system for a while, but only on highest difficulty dungeons, and there's only 7 or 8 dungeons period. I thought GW2 had telegraphs but I may be wrong, I kinda sleep walked through that game. So yea, 2 mainstream MMOs that many people played I kinda agree with North.
What? 200M ? Are you insane or what ?
@Xpyder @enartloc you do realize almost all skills have big area of attack right?The hitboxes are normal,the attacks just affect large areas,that's the whole basis of the combat,a skilled player can fight 3,4 targets at the same time,you wouldn't be able to do that with skills that affect only a small area.The caster classes in the game actually have the largest area on skills,so i'm afraid you won't like this game.
@Kickable neverwinter has it too
@AzatiS @enartloc Why exactly am i insane?You have any idea how expensive game development is in the US?Do you know that any random dev costs about 100 k a year because of things like relocation,medical insurance,car,equipment?SWTOR cost was around 220 million dollars,you can check the revenue sheets ea disclosed a year ago,and the guy who is the boss at Carbine said that WildStar is very similar in production and post production costs.The game has been in development for 6 years,with it's own engine build from scratch,of course it costs a shitload of money.
