On March 24, Ninja Theory joins in on the increasingly crowded games-as-a-service market with the release of Bleeding Edge. The melee-focused PvP multiplayer game will launch for Xbox One and PC, and will be available day one through Xbox Game Pass.
In the video above, Jordan Ramée plays through a round of Power Collection on the Boneyard map in the PC beta build of Bleeding Edge, securing a win as his team's MVP. Power Collection is one of the two game modes that will be available in Bleeding Edge at launch, tasking teams with securing energy batteries around the map and depositing them at certain locations to score points. You can also kill enemy players to make them drop the batteries they're holding.
Bleeding Edge is a very teamwork-focused game, with each squad composed of four players. Regardless of game mode, you want a healthy balance of offensive, support, and tank characters in your squad if you're looking to win. Playing without a healer, for instance, will almost assuredly doom your team for failure.
In the video above, Jordan plays as the offensive-focused Daemon, a graffiti artist turned cybernetic ninja that excels at stealth attacks. Though he possesses moderate mid-range abilities too, Daemon is at his best when turning invisible and sneaking past an enemy team's defenses to disrupt their set-up from behind--providing a window for the rest of his squad to then move in and attack.
