Watch Dogs - Welcome to Chicago Trailer
Check out this new trailer highlighting the city, its citizens, and the Disrupt engine for Watch Dogs.
damn this seems really ambitious..... they make some bold claims about depth and interaction I really hope it lives up to the hype. rockstar really nails the characters in games both playable and NPC's, I hope ubi channeled some of that style in this game.
Can somebody please explain to me how come that this LAST GENERATION GAME require 6GBs of RAM as a MINIMUM REQUIREMENT for PC? Then what will Witcher 3 require, 12GB?
Haha, the excellent graphics are back! It's like they wanted to shut everyone up. Now lets hope it looks as good on the consoles. Lets keep it consistent Ubisoft. The game looks awesome, and seems like a lot of fun.
I don't care about having ultra amazing graphics. What I care about is optimization for the PC. If they make Watch Dogs fluid, seamless, with great FPS, I'd be more than happy. One of the great banes of Ubisoft PC games are their terrible optimization, leading to arduous sub-par, or par, graphics.
Just make it play amazingly. If I want graphics, I'll go play Crysis 1.
I have both next gen consoles, so this is not PS4 fanboyism, but playing Second Son and witnessing Sucker Punch's gorgeous rendition of Seattle I am underwhelmed by Ubisoft's take on Chicago.
I understand that they are completely different games and fully expect Watch Dogs to be more feature rich than I:SS, which may have forced Ubi to balance system resources between graphics and gameplay. But, still, it really doesn't look any better than GTA:V which was a last-gen title. After the 6 month delay I was hoping for more.
definitely the best trailer yet ... big fan of the way this one looks (regardless of graphical debate) ... can't wait til may 27th!!
Next gen consoles won't be good enough to make this game look as it should and as such will be slightly less immerse, so they say graphics aren't important to them, but when you don't have a choice of what platform you have that's what they need to tell themselves in the end.
I thought I was here for Watchdogs not GTA V.
I understand why the trailer is like this but I think it might have come off better if they had shown Aiden hack the trailer 25% of the way in then show just pure gameplay as if to say that this is NOT Grand theft auto.
The video seems to have at least a few different platforms in it. Some of it is lower resolution and some of it looks significantly better. I would say they probably have a last gen a next gen and prob some PC in this vid.
OK guys, we get it. You didn't downgrade the graphics.
Gameplay videos have actually hyped me more for this game than any trailers. Can't wait!
They are trying to produce hype. Just like gta before publishing. At the beginning it was like an assassins creed in the city but every day it seems more similar to gta. I will have to buy it.
Good trailer, almost got me exited to get it on console. But I'll stick with PC hopping it will look amazing
@translucent17 Trust me, it won't.
@Pelezinho777 This is an open world game released in 1999: http://youtu.be/BaktHNVzKoE?t=11m44s It required 16 MB of RAM. That's almost 400 times less than 6 GB.
Nowadays, you have so much RAM available that developers can take two ways:
1. Be memory efficient and require 6 GB for the game like Watch Dogs (I'm sure they could've dropped it to 4 GB had it been economically feasible), or
2. Waste the resources like hell and use the fact that your game requires 16 GB of RAM as the indicator that your game is more advanced whilst hiding the incompetence of the people working on it.
@Pelezinho777 putting last gen game in all capitals makes me think you are a dipset....
@RyogaRod Not really. It's still quite a difference between the E3 footage. I think this is simply PS4 footage. Different lighting and textures, and a couple of missing immersion details, like they way wind blew through the streets, tossing junk around, the movement of NPCs is a bit janky, particle effects are scaled down, etc.
@empiricalroot One word my friend: Adblock
@lonesamurai1 wow! u really are an ass aren't you.
from what i have seen from second son, the graphics will be fine.
@lonesamurai1 you really need to get a life.I dont care about you most console owners dont care about you.You care far too much about the next gen consoles in fact pretty much every developer does not care about you does that bother you lol such an idiot
You still waiting for GTA5? Poor PCboy...
@cvjr as a black guy, i thought the same thing when they showed all the brothas after they said seedy part of town. i don't know if i should laugh or be pissed. kinda feeling both.
@cvjr Funny but NO.....
@surfepic wow, look at that, the pc finely has a game to play.
@Liquid_ Goat Simulator is GOTY
@rusrec When the camera went past that yellow car early in the video, it looked pretty bad up close. Maybe that's why.
@bbq_R0ADK1LL actually, compared to the E3 revealed, they were downgraded, but anybody that says it does not look great is just an idiot or lying to himself because it does look really good!
@supercakefish All promotional materials are rendered on PCs. This is the maximum of this game. Rockstar North did the same for Grand Theft Auto V. Don't delude yourself.
@daviz88 GTA was the GTA killer.
@GamezMk @RyogaRod Well bro you're not the only one with an opinion and let's not try to have it topple and monopolize everyone else's. I agree with my dude @RyogaRod . I think they've made significant improvements and yeah I know its a PS4 built because one of the devs commented on this via Twitter. I don't think they would reverse the visuals or diminish it in anyway. Plus what we've seen at E3 was primarily night time footage. This is mainly during the day so it's kind of hard to compare that anyway. We never seen the PC footage during the day. I bet it looks a lot like this. Either way I'm sure both platforms will look very equal and people would barely notice the difference.
This is a new generation of consoles (referring to the PS4 and XONE). Why in the world would it be terribly inferior to current high-end PCs. They just got started. Man, give these consoles a break. They have a long life ahead of them. They barely scratched the surface. And what we're seeing from the guys over at Rocksteady looks pretty impressive enough and that's primarily a next-gen title. Trust me guys, it will only look better from here... :-)
@sampson3121 You must be really stupid, or trolling.
