Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Daily Demo
Mitch Lagran stops by the studio to show us how to crush armies of Orks in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine.
Looks great except for the useless campaign teammate AI. If the co-op mode is A) tacked on and not campaign or B) an extra purchase... I won't be buying this game.
@Sword-brethren: I'm pretty sure Drogen is wearing power armour and/or is augmented. The normal human chaos troops are noticeably smaller if you watch other videos.
although i appreciate MChammerite's consideration of the lore norman69 has a point, i mean in my opinion they should'v had the plasma rifle as some thing u use from time to time in the campaign or in special multiplayer maps but im sure its just better to turn a blind eye and focus on the really awesom stuff
@MCHammerite- it's a videogame, they're allowed to tweak some of the lore to make it better to play- I mean if they followed the lore to the letter then it'd be pretty boring in places.
@MCHammerite - I think it might be that all pistols have infinite ammo - just in case players somehow run out with everything else & are incapable of getting into melee for some reason - other plasma weaponry (well, Plasma Guns anyway) have limited ammunition. But yeah they had better be volatile enough to asplode when they overheat (in multiplayer for sure).
These guys, including the developer dude, know nothing about the WH40K universe. Still looking forward to the game though.
This game be look'in right. They already have my money on Steam. The melee combat looks like a lot of fun. The less orcs the better. For the Alliance.
Oh and Plasma weaponry is not unlimited, it's meant to have roughly 12 shots in each full charge, which is actually 2 different canisters which are inserted on the rear and bottom (just in front of the trigger guard) and if it doesn't go boom when it overheats, well they haven't done enough research. They are also very rare as only a few Forge worlds produce such weaponry any more, due to the secrets of their production being lost... Yes lost, the Mechanicum is big and it loses things all the time, probably down the back of the couch, so they are VERY RARE.
The member of the Dev team does not deserve to wear a T-Shirt with the Symbol of Ultramar on it. Melta Gun... Bad ass shotgun? Nope, it fires a concentrated beam of pyrum and petroleum gas at a sub molecular level, melting plate armour of tanks and pretty much anything, lots of holes in his understanding of 40k and his explanation of Chaos as THE Chaos would of been understandable if he would of said The Chaos Gods. Rant aside, looks good, just has a goofy commentary over the top that annoyed the living crap out of me.
This game is looking Outstanding cant wait to kill those orcs lol No wait overkill them, love the weapons in the last demo review
I'm really happy to see the overheat bar for the plasma weapons :) Ultramars symbol is the symbol of the SM ? no..... Still looking good :D
Don't really like the gun they're using at the start. Not a 40k weapon and it just looked kinda lame. Rather have a bolter.
the plasma pistol is a permanent swap for the bolt pistol? part of me is very sad :[ but the game looks phenomenal. cant wait
will probably be the one of the better third person action game of the past couple of years and hopefully the single player campaign is more than 10 hrs
While the guy wasn't particularly good at explaining the multiplayer or some of the fluff (& also wrongly called the fury meter "the omega symbol, which is the symbol of the Space Marines" when it's actually an upside down omega symbol & is the symbol of just the Ultramarines chapter - the symbol of the Space Marines is a skull with angel wings which symbolises the whole 'angel of death' thing), the game is looking absolutely fantastic & I can't wait to play it.
