This game just got a permanent price drop on PSN. It dropped from $54.99 to $19.99! I bought it just ow and am waiting for the download to finish... Just bare in mind that it is a 24GB download! Can't wait for it to finish... Eventually
it was good game, but i cant get over how it came to have a score of 9?! its just so overRated mun! its cute and fun but... 9? really?
I cannot stress how you MUST play this game ... i had my doubts as it didnt seem serious enough .... but after playing it ...... I CANNOT STRESS how good it is .... play it!!!!!!!!!
I have a question, I'm 31 and the only RPG I could enjoy until now, was Skyrim, because it's dark and has some evil atmosphere. I think I would like a new RPG that offers hundreds of hours but my doubt is, is this game too childish ? I like Dragon Ball Z even if it's a cartoon and it has those crazy japanese characteristics, what do you guys think ? Can I fall in love for this one too ?
Reminds me a LOT of Dragon Quest 8. Probably because Level 5 developed both. Looks like they use the same engine, too.
Excellent, excellent game. This game really sucks you in to it's world. It's games like this that made me a gamer.
Have yet to play this game, but it looks as if it goes in the direction RPG's went in the 90's. That is arguably the best type of RPG to play and I wish they'd get back to that style. This game looks like a must buy.
The funny thing about this game is that the combat takes a while to get good, but once you finally get attack/defend orders it gets so much more entertaining.
Amazing game. If any of you guys are interested, check out our review of the Ni No Kuni and others at Planetzombo.com
This is a beautiful game and a great reminder of JRPGs from the 90's. I enjoy the game play - art design and characters. I love RPGs but have missed JRPGs.
just finished the game. 80 hours...wow! epic! the story, the combat, the musical score, the visuals- all done very well. the fetch quest get a little old after a while, but you are well rewarded for doing the side missons. the game starts off easy, however it that changes pretty soon. the key is to save often, becouse when you die, back to the start menu you go. if your a fan of old school rpgs and enjoy lots of story- you may want to pick this one up. however, it is not for everyone, it is a family game with a positive message. one of the few games out there worth the 60 dollar price tag.
I am not trolling, but I don't get it. This game looks HORRIBLE. What do you all see in it? It looks and seems like it plays EXACTLY like Eternal Sonata. Another game that Kevin (the reviewer) LOVED. He said almost all the same things. Charm, heart, it was pretty. The combat looks simlar. It was SOOOooooooo borning. omg. How is this game any differnt?
Like some others here, I'm going to play this game despite the fact that I havent played a JRPG in ages; I'm not really a fan of JRPGs in fact, but I'll definitely check this game out.
the only thing I don't like is that when you equip items and weapons they don't show up graphically on the familiars or characters unless it's the main types of character clothing.
That's the most beautiful game I've ever seen, the voice acting sounds great and if the music can match them I would be blown away, and I don't normally like JRPG's but this game is really appealing to me.
wow I did not expect a JRPG would get a really good review. Well I need to get this game, I haven't played an RPG for a while for the ps3 and the last one was Star Ocean The Last Hope International. Well hope to get it soon!!
@rkm0911 reading your comment made me feel a little sick
@nzowa100 360 is nothing but shooters. If you want shooters plus tons of gams like this you gotta go PS3 and definitely PS4.
@Infinite_Access lol glad i wasn't the only one XD
@klompa1992 I'd say both if you can afford it. Dogma is more for hardcore RPGer's who enjoy a challenge like Dark Souls. This game isn't as serious as that but it is incredibly addicting and just as rewarding. So it depends on what you want as a gamer.
@dalua360 What RPGs have you played? I've been playing RPGs since I was 10, and I know a bunch of them... which RPGs have you played so far?
@gMcR can you kill that drippy thing creature, it's as bad as spongebob
@chralle2000 there are no PC version cause it's PS3 exclusive
@Yumechan06 Yep Namco Bandai does it again
@inaka_rob clearly, you don't care about deep stories and/or character development... It's about the storytelling... have you played this game? it's how the character grows from beginning to end...
@wrestlemaniaw 60 to 80 hours
