"Underperforming, arrogant, and impolite players are unfortunate hurdles you'll have occasionally have to overcome along the way."
I had to login just to say this is a lie: it is not occasional, it is in *almost* every single game. I enjoy League, and play it almost daily, but you cannot hide its horrendous community from a review.
To be honest, this review sounds really watered down.
Weird coincidence - I just downloaded this game, along with a couple of friends. Excited to get involved!
Great review! Love the voice of this reviewer which is a nice contract to the saturation of men that typically make the video reviews (besides Caro)
@AggrandizedUser Yup, me again!
@Eorlas It is almost every match where someone must act immature to their very own team. The community is very toxic in this game and I can't say it's any better in any of the other MOBAs. Most of the time if you want to play, you just gotta ignore everyone on the team.
@Eorlas Yeah it can be pretty rough, so glad I moved off the NA server, the trash talk there was relentless. Barley get any of that on the Aussie server.
Trash talk only gets to you if you let it.
Though you cause always use the ignore buttons... just saying
Seems like you have a case of someone else not telling you what you want to hear about a game. ;)
@SchwarzerRitter Have you seen the map for Summoner's Rift? It's literally a carbon copy of DOTA..
@Succumbus @SchwarzerRitter The maps are similar because they are in the same genre of games now. The new genre to gaming is the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA), and these games are characterized by having lanes and a "jungle" and generally some turrets. This was actually started by the players of Starcraft (1998) whom made the first ever MOBA style map, and even requiring you to play as one "hero" or "champion." Then with the release of Warcraft 3, modders kept making new MOBA maps and one modder happened to call his new map Defense of the Ancients (DotA). In 2008 Riot games released League of Legends which created the new genre MOBA. Then when DotA was sold to Valve, DotA 2 was released in 2009. Some of the games in the genre are, Dawngate, Infinite Crisis, Prime World, Heroes of Newerth, Smite, DotA 2, and of course LoL. You can have your own opinion just don't say things that you haven't researched.
