I guess if i forget to turn off the game and drop it in my backpack i could get to school and find out i have gotten through the first level.

"So you feel synchronized with the character", LMAO, maybe if he was drinking a beer. Wow, that's hard to listen to. Uncharted looks pretty good but that touch pad on the back has got to go; maybe you can turn it off, along with the gyro-scope.

I think that the very first games on the NPG will have cluky controls because there will be millions of variations for the controls and the developers will have to get familiar with the new options and that will take a while.....I mean at the first time they will be combining the touch screen and the buttons and the games will come out with clunky controls.....but then the developers will make games with ADJUSTABLE controls to leave the decisions (in terms of controlling the char) to the players who are actually playing the game! And then AWESOME games will come out with great controls that can be customised!!

@RofleWaffle - Ah i see what you meant now, interesting i don't think the PSP2 has those buttons. But then where would they put them if they did put it? I don't think there is space for it

This game looks sweet. The whole system looks sweet. Man, if only it was coming out sooner. However, I hope that the back touch pad is easier to use than the guy made it look like. He had to reposition his hands just to reach it.

People have to stop being so critical of the new control options. Remember lots of people pointed out limitations with Wii's motion controls, where the company pointed out that one of its greatest strengths would be for racing and fps games... but we all know how that turned out. Nonetheless the game development community found several good, innovative uses for the technology that initially were never thought of. So of course these first displays of the controls seem gimmicky cuz the games are still pretty early in development and seem to be ports of console games.... but later people will find original, innovative, and more practical applications for them, most likely even new types of gameplay. lets at least appreciate the fact that Sony is opening new doors, and remember... DUAL JOYSTICKS!! Did u all forget how badly we needed those?? Of course with the way things are looking we might just see console ports and a real lack for innovative games built for these specific controls... but still.. i'm staying positive =D

Wow. Talk about a gaming Ipod Touch. Seriously. Just awful. Like I really want to move the system back and forth to swing on a vine, or move my hands up and down on the back to climb. Boooooo, NGP. 3DS is where it's at Sony!

Dual sticks=cool. Touch pads on back though? Did you see how hard it looked for him to use it? He literally had to balance the thing on the edge of his hands in order to use it...dumb. In any game which requires any respectable level of speed and timing, I can see this function being totally frustrating, if not totally slipping out of your hands. Fail.

Seems a little too much for one game. I don't want to tap an enemy to knock him out, but move to his back and do a button maneuver. It seems like they're taking a polished game and watering it down.

lets just hope every company doesnt add tacked on gyro and touch controls like they did with the wii and ds. that touch panel on the back looked awful. and i hope you can turn off the giro, imagine playing on a train? lol :|

Sorry Sony(I say this out of love because I own a PS3 and LOVE it) but unless it plays Pokemon or some sort of knock off Pokemon I'm just not interested in your handheld...

@pilot_riaz - I think he meant two on each side like the PlayStations R1,R2

RofleWaffle
RofleWaffle

@pilot_riaz - I meant like R1 and R2 on the ps3 controller, or like RB and RT on the xbox 360 controller. If it does have them, then sorry,my mistake :D

pilot_riaz

@RofleWaffle - the PSP2 does have 2 shoulder buttons. The buttons are thinner than the PSP1 shoulder buttons. Read the spec before making judgement.

RofleWaffle

Still they haven't realised that two shoulder buttons would make the psp better. Disappointed much.

I hope you can change the camera perspective...it's too low here. As I watched, I kept thinking, "Man, I wish I could move that camera up a little bit!" Here's hoping they include the ever important perspective adjustment. I wonder what the compatibility of current games will be, and whether some games will get an update to work with the dual sticks (for example, Resistance Retribution...that would be awesome if they released a patch so it could use both sticks).

To all of you concerned about the touch controls, if you paid attention they said you could hit the x button (or whatever button) OR use the touch feature. So it seems the touch controls would be an option whenever you decided to use them to me. And the graphics are just amazing for a handheld. Ive never owned a handheld, but if this thing goes well and has a decent price, I just might consider purchasing my first.

When this console comes out, I bet they will sell a bundle with this game. If not, I will download this demo from PSN.

........ Sony should just stop trying to put innovation in gaming. This video trying to show off the new features is embarrassing. PSP should just do what it does best, resemble the console experience in the palm of your hand. No more, no less. Leave the innovation to the 3DS. Besides that, the game looks freakishly good for a handheld.

it should get onlive gaming support lol

not a great video to judge by but it looks just as good as drakes fortune and most 3rd party games on ps3.....and its still a working title. @ VaniaManiac it can make up for the lack of L2/R2, will be very useful. @ grim0187 just look at how much other handheld devices are priced at. 150 bucks lol.....wait 5 years, you might get it for that.

looks amazing but i found pointless both touch screens and giro, just slows the game

grim0187

While the game looks interesting (its is Uncharted after all) the cost is whats going to concern me. Anything over 150 bucks is TOO much for a handheld, and I dont care WHAT it does.

finally a handheld for the GAMER, some of us are tired of beefed up phones and pretty pink and blue handhelds that cater to 5 year olds. I still love you mario though...nothing personal.

the touch screen on the back is a bit silly and unneccassary tbh

the graphics are very very good , but you gotta be mad to compare them with the graphics of ps3 and xbox360 i'd say the graphics are as goo as wii

Dunno if it's same graphs as PS3, doubting it. Looks abit too oily graphs I think. Nice features tho :) Hope it can be connected to screens too. But I doubt it can match the actual ps3 in itself. Due to the game size it must take and technology space...

D-eagle101
D-eagle101

Nice graphics, but I prefer a bigger screen and more sound with a tv and ps3. It is a shame that Sony can't develop a ps4, because the games are not developed for next generation consoles. BTW I stick with the sixaxis controller, because of its sharp and smooth controls.

@PSduel_weilder, yeah I thought it was just an Uncharted port, but that content looks new, unless there remaking the first game with new content I hope its a brand new adventure, because so far all thats been shown are ports or older games

I thought it looked good, but not a must buy. Then he brought up the scope and followed the guy falling like a camera. I hope this reaches its full potential.

There's a lot of potential for this system to be great. I just hope it gets more than the few gems that the PSP had. Man, Oblivion or Skyrim on the go... yes please.

Other then the added joystick, I'm still not sold. Not a fan of motion aiming, or touch controls. I hate playing shooters on my iPod. It does not work.

Judging the market today, I sure hope this stays between 250 and 300 dollars at launch. This handheld has everything we want and it's a beast. I'm excited for it.

Wow, that looks pretty cool but Uncharted doesn't seem like the new controls improve it at all. It seems like just using the 2 analog sticks (FINALLY!) and the regular buttons would be easier. However, I'm sure that some developers will go all out and use all of these mechanics to make a game that is totally unique and console exclusive. But until that day comes, I'll save my money.

UniversalDave

Looks so good but I get a feeling the price tag will be upwards of £400-500 If its same prices as 3DS than I will probably get this depending on game line up.

devil may cry should be a launch game since they announced for the old psp and never came out
