Man it really sucks when you seriously cannot wait and want something that is just not for sale yet. Games are the only thing that I'm like that with. But I am glad that each game is on a two year turn around.
Can't wait to get this game...I still got and still play Uncharted 2 and I got it on launch day. This is the 1st game for me to buy out of a few games in Oct/Nov. Looking forward to trying the beta out.
1 thing he says very early on that shows how great naughty dog are is that he says we first look at the NEW tech and NEW improvements we want to add to the game. They always improve and learn so you know that the game is going to be ground-breaking and not a normal game that u could miss and not even notice.
thank you for the update and rundown how the dev and what you guys do to bring us SONY fans another GREAT Uncharted Game. Thank you!! Looking forward to it!
I love the dedication that Naughty Dog has, and the great team-building co-operative work mentality that they have. Uncharted 2 was one of my favourite games, and I am more than confident that Uncharted 3 will improve upon every aspect of Uncharted 2. I'm putting all my faith into Naughty Dog that they will make this the best possible game that they can make, and I am just ecstatic about when this game finally releases. Day 1 purchase for me, WHOSE WITH ME???
Richard, I really love your voice, i mean in the video you seem excited and I like that...... I am sooo excited for the game that i cant wait.. i got all of Uncharted games. Have you every thought about putting auto aim in the game? I mean, like if there are enemies and drake pull his gun on one, it will simply aim at that one..... With and without auto aim, I really do love Uncharted games.
@Drakkengoth - Each person has their own style of gameplay and types of games they like to play. But there is a reason why I and many others, and even Sony consider the Uncharted series to be one of their flagship series. I suppose it's subjective but there is nothing about the story, dialogue or supporting characters in Uncharted or Uncharted 2 that bring the game down. The series has showcased what the PS3 hardware is capable of and I've invested more hours than I care to talk about playing these games getting Platinum trophy status for both. Games like Killzone, God of War, and Resistance are great too, but they have completely different styles of gameplay to Uncharted. But I just have to say that it seems a bit short sighted for someone who doesn't even own a PS3 and who apparently enjoys more straight up shooters and hack and slash games to be bad mouthing everything about the Uncharted series.
One thing I loved about Uncharted 2 is how you can play a level once and then play it again but in a completely different way. You can use different strategies and use different weapons to make it a refreshing experience every time. I hope they still have this great level design in U3 (which I'm sure they will).
im seriously lovin this game, however, im not gonna be able to buy it on release date. im preorder Gears 3 and BF3, and that's gonna empty out my wallet, so ill probably just rent U3. kinda dissapointed, ill see if i can buy it. game looks unbelevably awesome, and is simply gorgous.
Uncharted is a tererific game for the family, except of course, young children. The series have everything one could want. First shooters to my thinking are mindless.Rarely is their a story to them. They require some skill but an Action/Adventure game has everything from hunting treasures, to fights of all kinds and numerous puzzles to go along with the story. Can't wait for the next Uncharted.
Wow didn't know about the ship thing and that all looked jaw-dropping... Can't friggin wait for this one
Uncharted 2 is the best game ive ever played. Hope this lives up to it, but Im sure it will. and @Drakkengoth you are missing out. theres a reason it won game of the year you know. Uncharted 2 had the best graphics, the best gameplay, the best story, the best characters, the best music, it was funny, and my favorite multiplayer. just play it (the whole game!) and if u still dont like it, well then im afraid the gaming industry cant offer u anything better (except uncharted 3 :D)
@Drakkengoth I didn't enjoy Uncharted for many of the reasons you state. However, I feel that Uncharted 2 improved on the first in almost every way (not perfect by ant stretch), story being the weakest element, but still better than lots of the filth that hits movie screens these days. The story and dialogue can be painfully corny but the level design, events and encounters were super fun. Granted all this is very subjective. Maybe you just don't like that type of game? Killzone, GoW and Resistance don't have much in common with Uncharted; they are pretty much straight up action games whose stories are just as corny as the Uncharted series but the core game-play mechanic for KZ, Resistance and GoW don't hinge on the story. the story you can pretty much ignore and keep playing when it gets stupid, where as with UC2, I felt like I was playing the story, a part of it.
Kudos to NaughtyDog for the Crash Bandicoot games & Crash Team Racing... Those games were absolutely golden. But i have to say how can this game b so popular;so highly-spoken of in the ps3 community when all i see is a clunky combination of platforming/stealth & a TombRaider-esque vibe to this TPS. I've watched my friends play the SP enough times of both 1 & 2, sure, it looks pretty but graphics really do not matter, sure, Drake is a likable guy, but the dialogue, story & supporting characters just bring everything down. If I'd ever consider buying a ps3, I'd pick up all the Killzone, God of War or Resistance games in a heartbeat, uncharted games... maybe if I had nothing else to buy at the given moment. Just my $0.02 worth
