Tropico series is overall good, liked SimCity 4deluxe better, the original Stronghold (absolutely love free build mode), and many others, music in tropico can get a little irritating, but that can be altered in menu. I love city builders and games I can be creative in. I wish there were more of them.

look like Kalypso get lazy and try to make a quick buck by releasing this expansion

I'm with you Henoch, I love Tropico but this may not be worth investing in.

crap, I know it's pretty much just an expansion pack, but I'm a sucker for tropico and they will get my money. Game is just too good.

Have to agree with Rolandwj, looks just about identical to Tropico 3. I'm all for keeping a series on track, not fixing what isn't broken, and all that.. but if they're not revamping the engine and graphics, it isn't really a new game, to me. It's more like expansion DLC they're trying to charge $50 for.

More of the same with more stuff, thats what i wanted and thats what im going to get. Nothing was broken in Tropico 3 and there not going to try to "fix" anything, just expanding the concept that works fine and is enjoyable. Thats a true sequel IMO, many todays sequels tend to spin-off, its nice to see that Tropico is on track.

Erm... Tropico 3 Expansion : Power to rule?

A few new features, buildings, edicts and a exceptionally small redundant change of the interface is hardly what constitutes a sequel and by the looks of it looks exactly the same as it's prequel. It has the same graphics and the same models for people, cars and buildings. All in all it looks like it's an expansion for Tropico 3, and I for one think it should be! It is mocking the fans of the series by calling this a sequel. They'd better put in an island editing tool like in the first game or at least let you pay to level the ground.

Also on X-box360? Oh wow. I guess that means the PC version is finally filled with console-enhancements up to the point of it being unplayable. I'm gonna have to hear the verdict and what the fans say before I pick this one up I guess. I've stopped buying bad PC-ports altogether and I refuse to buy a console. Crossing fingers for this one.

I agree it looks more like just an expansion, but that's not necessarily bad. Sure wish Maxis would make a new SimCity. Construction and management games like Tropico continuing to succeed are proof that the concept is still enjoyed by many people.

Yeah love Tropico games and the music is always uplifting. Like an adventure is awaiting you. Just come and play.

So far this is really seeming more like an expansion to Tropico 3. But hey, i love Tropico, so going to get it.

Seems like a good predecessor... I just hope they don't put to much work into the tourist part...

sweet, love the Tropico games, one of the more original world-builders/economic games out there.
