I've only heard about this game from a friend of mine. I'm not a huge rpg fan but I might have to pick this up once it drops to $20.
@wolfyrabbit, I liked this a lot more than WKC. @toffy666, You should check out our Game of the Year from 2008 and 2009.
after investing 30 hours into this game myself i can say that this review is pretty accurate in its praise and condemnation. Trinity is a one trick pony. Its all in the combat, there is nothing outside of that and that is what ultimately drags it down into the 7/10 range. i like it... thats why ive played 30 hours of the game... whether im going to continue playing another 30 hours is unlikely because the combat has gotten stale and there is nothing else in this game to do. 7/10 from me, simply because i dont like half values in reviews.
I'm surprised Tom enjoyed the Dynasty Warriors-esque combat so much since the people on the Hotspot always groan so loudly whenever Koei releases a new Dynasty Warriors, complaining that the company has been making the same game for the past 10 years.
Finally something different from omega force. This would be an ideal place to make this a series and start improving things by correcting past mistakes and throwing a few original ideas into the mix. But judging from their past, they're sadly not in business of doing so. I've played omega forces games for a long time and I've never seen drastic improvements. But consider me positively impressed if that happens.
Wow, i have never heard of this game before. It sounds pretty good but i would worry that by skipping all the crappy story stuff i wouldn't know what to do.
Seems like this is a game that illustrates the concept that just because it isn't "good" doesn't mean it isn't "fun"
Why do games often sacrifice story for combat or vice versa? If they are going to screw up a story why can't they just make it completely horrible so I can get a couple laughs? Ah...life questions...:P
@Gelugon_baat, You're making me want to see that Chun Li movie again. That was one of my favorite "so bad it's good" movies. The story in Zill O'll is just boring. @newkillerstar27, Trinity is a $60 retail game. But, if people are curious, I really like this game. After playing more than 60 hours, I still wasn't bored, so that's high praise. It just doesn't do anything else except combat, and the combat (though satisfying) isn't exactly cutting edge stuff. If this game sounds interesting, I suggest you play it. It has issues, but it's still quite entertaining.
Doesn't McShea realize that this is a downloadable game? Why is he holding it to the standards of retail games? I swear, nothing will ever be decent to him...
Bible voice??!!! What th h...?!
