Ah wish i could play a guy . . . So i could immerse myself in that role
When i play a female im a side watcher im not in the role
Looks good thou
I do enjoy the throaty, rough male voice giving you instructions throughout the game, but there seems to be too much of it. Seems he talks to you constantly. I can see that getting annoying very quickly. Otherwise I love the aesthetics and the battle system. I am curious if there will be any non-battle areas where you can kind of just walk around, talk to NPCs, explore, go into shops to buy armor, weapon upgrades, etc.? If it's constant battling without any other gameplay mechanics to kind of diversify the gameplay experience, I am afraid it might get tedious and monotonous after a while.
Incredible. The combat kinda looks like X-COM fused with Bastion. Plus the cyber-punk mixed with paint brush stroke art style is like nothing I have ever seen before.
Looking really great! I loved Bastion and the combat gameplay in Transistor seems to be even better!
Anyone knows if Darren Korb is composing music for this as well? Because that's a huge thumbs up for this game if he is, in my opinion.
This gives me that feeling of excitement that I used to get in the SNES and early PSX days. So stoked.
Looking incredible. Can't wait to play it. The visual design of this puts most AAA games to shame. Goes to show that an enormous budget isn't everything and thoughtful, creative people can make refreshing games.
Same demo as one in E3, but the detail have been improved dramatically, very much looking forward to this game, like I say before, winner of E3 and now PAX13.
Looks like Bastion 1.5.
I couldn't get into Bastion cause the gameplay was really generic and had a "done it all before" kind of feel to it. I know I'm in the minority here, but it just does nothing new.
I'm so getting this when it releases. I loved Bastion and Transistor looks like it won't disappoint.
This looks awesome! i really want to play it! I love that pause combat. it adds an extra layer of strategy which i like a lot
That pause mode looks cool. You can't spam that constantly though which makes me wish the non-paused combat didn't seem so sluggish and boring. I'd love to see Platinum or some company really great at real time melee combat implement a feature like that.
@Dexyu Yea when the main character is black my immersion just goes out the window.
@Dexyu wow that's some lackness of imagination.
@Dexyu Don't limit yourself, friend. There are many beautiful experiences you can see through the eyes of the opposite sex.
@Raidenwins0 You haven't played Bastion, have you?
Chances are, there won't be many NPCs aside from the narrator, but there will likely be same form of upgrade/shop system - I recall seeing an earlier video that mentioned that you wind up getting far more skills than you can use at any one time, so you'll have to have a place to swap them out, and perhaps get various passive abilities, as in Bastion.
Oh, and the Narrator won't shut up. That's just Supergiant for you. It's the same guy as in Bastion, and I couldn't be happier about that.
@faizanhd Loved X com and Bastion this looks promising
Logan Cunningham is still doing voicework, and the only reason he got involved with Super Giant was because he's a friend of Darren Korb, so I don't see why he wouldn't be doing the music - the soundtrack was one of the strong points of Bastion, so why would they leave out such a tasty ingredient this go-round?
@RedLegZeff yes it is, you're growing a vagina.
@RedLegZeff *thumbs up*
@psuedospike I'd have to agree, Bastion was over-hyped. I'm still kind of looking forward to Transistor though. It looks like it could potentially be a better game than Bastion was.
I agree with you man. Bastion was over hyped. It was a game with mediocre, repetitive gameplay that got boring quick. It's only saving grace was the art style and music, but even that couldn't get me to finish the game.
@psuedospike I'll laugh at you if you play call of duty.
He does have a point though.
@Enforcer246 I play everything. I've played CoD a handful of times.
