Ok, I know I'm going to look like an idiot but, HOW do you get posts to not look like a wall of text? Just hitting enter to seperate paragraphs doesn't work.... :(
Holy crap.... I had always heard that TM was highly customizable, but I had no idea just how much. And 200 players at once?? Now THAT might be fun. OR, it might be a huge mess. Since in almost every other racing game I have played with just a fraction of that many players, it's always just a big cluster $%#@ with everyone piling up on each other in just the first turn lol. (Unless of course the other players actually know HOW to drive. But, is that EVER the case...?) Also glad that Juguard mentioned TMN Forever is FREE, (Tnx 4 the info.) Gonna have to give that one a shot. Just watched the vid for it on Steam, looks cool. Just wish there were more than F1 cars to race. But it's free so...
Gamespot, why is such a well made and epic trailer not even in trending, on the homepage or featured somehow?!?! This game needs some more exposure, it's cheap, a ton of fun and deserves a hell of a lot more attention.
Minimum System Requirements OS : Windows XP / Vista / 7 CPU: 1.5 Ghz RAM: 1 Gb Video Card: 256 MB, Pixel Shader 2.0 / Intel HD 2000 / Nvidia ION / AMD HD 6310 HDD: 1.5 Gb
It's apparent that "Canyon" will be the main focus for this first release of the game. I'm sure there'll be DLC for more environments and/or a "Trackmania 2 Gold" version released later. Either way, $24.99 seems like a good deal. @roy_newell - if you've ever played a Trackmania game, you'd know the goal tends to be getting faster and faster times - gaining better and better "medals" - so, in this case, the pun makes sense.
Slam the pedal to the medal? Really? Medal? The saying is pedal to the METAL, referring to the metal stopper or floor of a car when you have the accelerator down hard. Its not a saying created for BMX racers in a competition, lol, may make sense then. Bless ya
@nyran125 Trackmania Nations Forever is free, on steam or from their website, not Trackmania United Forever, that one costs money.
another reason to play PC over Consoles..the reasons just gets longer and longer and longer and bigger and bigger and bigger.
I'm now playing the beta. The visuals are incredible and very well optimized for smooth performance. Can't wait for the final version next month.
waahh can't wait.. anyway, here's the link for the music, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bE47er6qnqg cmiiw :D
Cool music and very exciting video..The trailer itself is a masterpiece....n it really reminds of stunts ( a old pc game car lol) that i love.
The graphics can top most racing games coming out these days, and a fun of creating your own tracks and doing those crazy turns, and just having fun, have no match. I'm really really really excited about this game, and can't await for release :)
It's games like this that make me want to be a PC gamer. Only I think my PC would crash running that game online with 199 other people! Graphics are amazing, and the track editor looks stunningly amazing!
@batch3: Stunts was awesome, and this game reminded me of it, I still have the floppy disk with an original copy of the game :). Good times
Well, if you've heard of Whiplash (Fatal Racing), I'm in the process of resurrecting those cars for TM2--they look kinda similar, yeah?
STUNTS!!! anyone remember that? Great Trailer, looks like real fun! Someone should take the ancient SR (Street Rod) to the new generation too, that game was, togheter with stunts and nfsu2, the best idea for an arcade game we could get
@juza82 have you played the first trackmania? :O with that many ppl and collisions on....would wouldnt be able to move. just saying and i want this game T__T
How many drivers died during the making of this trailer?? It looks awesome! I hope they do support ghost mode, so everybody can have a great time!
@Doomguard3 When you have hundreds of colliding people on the track it WILL get old. You won't be able to gain enough speed to make the jumps and then you'll complain that the cars in front of you slow you down. TrackMania is about speed and stunts, not demolition.
@doomguard3: they are not going to stop using the ghost mode - simply because of 200 players on one race track- go have some fun with collision..
Let's just hope all other players wont be ghosts that you cant touch like in TrackMania Nations, and also no more infinite speed laps but give us something more like real racing, that was basically the one and only mode, it gets old quick especially when there is no collision with other cars.
