mossberg0 your an idiot, if you want historic accuracy read a text book. The fact that your watching this video in the first place means your interested in the game, If you dont play it, Millions of others will.
If this game won't be moddable at least to the extent RTW was, then it's not worth a dime in my book. The AI is evidently still under par, the "historically authentic" (I laughed hard at this one) units have unrealistically all-red uniforms and if I get a better look at the game, I can extend the list a lot further. The best Total War game is actually an RTW mod called Europa Barbarorum and has depth, historical authenticity and immersion that will hardly ever be achieved by CA's mass produced goods... He even had the gall to say they have researched units :D :D Read up on EB to see what faction research is really about.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh I cant wait to build a new PC.....
Oh and haters of the guy that's playing, be nice to him, they make amazing strategy games. Remember the game developers don't get round to playing their own games as much as we play them. They probably don't have time to get really good at their own games and this is just a demonstration of what to expect in a battle.
The game loocks ok the animations are realy good and I can say 4 shure thet CA is doing progress, yes I know that the guy that playd there suckt as a player, buth remember guys he is not an hard-core players like us so stop being so fucking dicks, he goal was to show to you all how Rome will worck on single player and he did succesfuly.....from my part. Thx 4 the video, I love Total War Games!!!
I hope they don't have the limited building mechanic in this game. I know it is made to make gameplay more challenging but every time I reach a cap of the number of buildings that can be built I just cringe when the rest of the big province is completely barren.
I mean come on, what city (at least in the ancient times) had a limit of how big it can get.
Am I the only one cringing as this guy is playing.. I sure hope he was playing horribly just as an example
That War of Tanks tournament ads is funny...really?, the announcers sound lame and like losers.
What the world has come to.
I really hope that CA will have more vid about different aspect of gameplay. For example, i REALLY want to know more about the stat & trait of general, will it much diversity and colorful as in Rome and Medieval . When you look at a general stat, you can see his personality, his life, his achivement.......etc. PLease for the god sake , don;t make the stat boring as in your latest game
I hope they make this one compatible with controller. It will be a good step for when they make a console edition for next gen.
I wish the game would come included with some historical documents about the Roman Empire (History channel).
The Total War series is just about the only games that keep my PC around these days. Looking forward to more of them in the future, each one is exciting to wait for. :)
Watch this guys , you won't regret it . Much better gameplay and video quality . Thanks .
Am I the only one slowly getting an urge to want them to make a none historical game? A fictional world in which you can customize your armies and flags to your liking? Nothing to crazy but... I'm tired of fighting for other nations and themes. I want to conquer the world for myself with my armies! Or heck let it be historical... just let me rise up with my own user created faction.
Still love the series :P
we need total war: China... there is so much history, so many epic battles, so many different factions. from five dynasties ten kingdoms to the zhuan dynasty. also, kung fu monks, gorgeous landscape, the great tao, philosophy, mongols... there is too much for a single game, but i'll be dammed if creative assembly won't at least visit those settings once.
@mossberg0 I agree with you in a way, buth is still just a game, so I don't think that they are interested in doing that they are interested in making mony.....so they are realy all abought mony and you can't realy blame them....take care, and you are right abought historical fact, they dont respeckt that, buth as a game is a bet of fun I think.....my respeckt to you....
@mossberg0 shut up
@Gibbo4 The guy is trying to explain things at the same time. Cut him some slack.
@Don_Mattrick and the worst part is u gotta watch the whole damn thing @ the beginning of every single video ...
@GONtheSKYLORD Great idea. They should simplify the game a bit to encourage controller use. Remove things like formations, allow unit switching with the triggers, remove that stupid campaign thing..... it'll be the perfect game :)
@GONtheSKYLORD HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you crazy person! you wanna play strategy games on a controller?
one word, no cos it handicaps, eg. xcom enemy unknown snap aim
@GONtheSKYLORD That would be impossible. Consoles are for casual FPS games, the controller is terrible for pretty much everything else. That's why consoles don't have games like this and Arma, it just won't work.
@GONtheSKYLORD Games like total war don't work well at all with controllers
@Shirotakahahshi You could just google around to find some documentaries about it.
@RikkiTTavi I think you mean crappy and I agree totally. GS's "HD" has always been anything but.
@Adavanter People have been feeling this way for a while, but we wanted Rome II first.
@Adavanter No you are not the only one. This may be wilder still, but I heard creative assembly may have gotten rights to the warhammer franchise. If so, a total warhammer type game would be totally cool, and would make total biscuit scream like a schoolgirl. Many other fans would as well i suspect.
@mike4487s totally right. For example, just the fact that the demo guy was able to cut off the enemy's units like that is a big glaring hint that the combat AI still sucks like it always has, and it has always been the main source of complaints from gamers. Of course you wouldn't know that because you have not followed the TW series, because most of you were in primary school when Shogun came out in 2000. So take your time to feel good about this game coming until you actually get to play it. The rest of us know what to expect from CA.
@mike4487 what is that smell?
@mike4487 Are you high or something?
@mike4487 Does anybody have any idea what this guy is talking about?
@mike4487 What are you getting on about?
@wizzzer_thy_133 The probelm of China ....will be the same as Shogun.. lack Diversity . Unless they make Medieval Asia:totalwar, the lack of diversity of faction still be a BIG problem, unlike ROme or Medieval
@wizzzer_thy_133 The probalm would be that it would be hard for a lot of people to relate to that setting. A lot of people didn't like Shogun 2 just becasue of that. An asian setting would be great, but with the core fanbase being in Europe/NA America, it would be hard to relate to it.
@wizzzer_thy_133 Basically the same era as the Dynasty Warrior games?
@ozdarkhorse Yea, no RTS really does, and with the Total War games you've potentially got a lot more units and formations to work with.
@mossberg0 @mike4487 dude why don't you build a game if you are so good, all I see at guys like you are the words no action, come and show to us all how good you are by building your on game and so make your AI so smart that could outsmart an real player in an singl player game, I am realy courious.....so good luck with that, all the best to you all and no hard filings m8...
@EngieTDR TW is easy against the AI.. so I guess some people just aren't good at the game.
