Tomb Raider - Final Hours Episode 4: Surviving Together
In the fourth episode of The Final Hours of Tomb Raider , Zachary Levi goes behind the scenes on the addition of multiplayer.
Multi-Player equals more money, money, money for the game makers! DLCs & map-packs will be bought after the initial $60 retail disc purchase.
I was never a big Tomb Raider fan, but from what I'm seeing so far I might just change my mind and pick this one up.
From what we can see here... Zachery Levi is probably going to be a freakin' hilarious character to play with. Big fan.
Definitely avoiding choosing 'Zac' as my playable character.. Bloody hell those sound clips were annoying :/
Multiplayer is not necessary for this game to succeed. If anything, it might hurt it when people compare it to multiplayer powerhouses like Halo, Call of Duty, etc. The mainstream games.
Now, if the soundtrack, gameplay (both platforming and fighting), graphics, and story hold up, then I'm okay with adding in multiplayer if it can bring in more interest...just, remember this is Tomb Raider after all, Crystal Dynamics.
I'm not going to say that the addition of this multiplayer team takes away from the single player. They're two separate teams.
I'm just not seeing this add much value to the game. They're trying to hit a wider audience, but I feel like the audience that craves multiplayer isn't going to buy this game, they're going to buy games where multiplayer is the FOCUS, not the addition. I don't know, it just doesn't seem like the best investment to me.
Still going to play this game, as I think it'll be pretty fun.
