yeah I'm pretty happy with the direction they are going with SC, Conviction was an amazing game, so were the first, but the latest direction is much more action packed and makes Sam more lethal. That's how it SHOULD be.. Sure Mark n Execute makes it easy, and Killing in Motion, but again how it should be for someone like Sam. There were moments in the old games where I would often ask "why the F**K cant he just go all Jason Bourne and easily take these 3 guys out fast?". just my opinion. That said, game looks awesome, can't wait.

I really hate how people complain about how different this game is to the first games. I'm glad that they changed the gameplay before it got boring, Conviction is clearly the best Splinter Cell game yet. And this game is going to be great too

I was a huge fan of 1, 2, and 3.  Double Agent was bad but they started to change the game from a stealth game to a an action shooter and the game go boring.  If this game goes back to be similar to the originals I will love it.  Otherwise if it is just another Splintercell Conviction Game, I will not waste my money.

back in the days when metal gear solid was still a stealth game i used to hate this title not because it is bad but i hated people comparing it to the great metal gear,especially sam fisher who was similar solid snake.but looking at this videos of blacklist i think i am becoming a fan of this game.

I hope those who pre-ordered really early (i.e. me) get a free upgrade to this edition (this edition wasn't announced when I pre-ordered it, which was on the same night the E3 trailer and demo were released on YouTube), or at least the option to pre-order this edition instead. :)

Looking forward to this game, but I wish they would just get rid of Sam Fisher. I can't take him seriously when he seems to be aging and maturing in reverse. Out of respect for long time fans, Ubisoft needs to retire Fisher.

@Beerminator1

I agree, Conviction was the best, in my own opinion, and Chaos Theory right next to it. Pandora Tomorrow kinda sucked IMO. Regardless of opinion, I still have all my old games, I've been a follower of SC since it's inception.

@daviz88 What game isnt becoming an action shooter these days?

@thereal-15-cent I totally agree with on that one and now with UBISOFT using a new voice actor and not bringing back Micheal Ironside ( Original Total Recal ). They should have just made a new character for this one or killed off sam in this one for a new character.

@kennythomas26 @thereal-15-cent I'm hoping this happens to be a complete reboot rather than a sequel to the others in which case I can take it more seriously if not I'll have to agree also
