Titanfall Video Preview: More Than Just Call of Duty With Mechs

Once Dice fixes up BF4, I'm really hoping they finally add some dinosaurs! Oh yeah....Titanfall is COD with mechs you can rodeo like a cowboy!

Pretty sure in Red Faction (2001) you could use rocket launchers and C4 to tunnel your way up and down through mountains. In Battlefield 1942 (2002) you could hop in a jet and fly away into the sky, parachute onto tall buildings, etc.

Vertical movement is tooootally fresh.

I'm getting up early on March 11th.Titanfall great.

Fresh? I guess they didn't take a good look at UT2004.

I've now played it for a few hours up to level 14 (Max level it will allow you to get)..And I'm pleasantly surprised, Yeah the gun play is similar to COD but It's just a lot more fun the map's are you will be pleased to hear are a good size and designed well, Having said that you only get two on the Beta but looks hopeful and the jet pack/wall running and mechs etc works a hell of a lot better than I thought it would. Overall maybe not the totally original experience I and millions hoped It would be but when It comes out it will be well worth your time..

Just make a Vanquish sequel with multplayer and ridable mechs. That game is the definition of fast paced combat.

I played it for hours and it feel exactly like COD with Mechs when it comes to fighting, but the burn cards, Mechs, wall running/jet pack parkour, stealth and the just plain pacey fun of the maps made it pretty enjoyable.

Im in the beta and its nothing to hype about, its fun dont get me wrong but it really is just cod with mechs. Except The weapon handling is really poor.

Seriously, someone is sabotaging Microsoft from inside.... It's impossible that they are serious about launching their new gen so outdated like that ! Microsoft has the money, but it appears that all their decisions are towards to destroy their video game market.

Look's pretty fun, But I think It may get old fast and the cloaking is going to get abused to the 10th degree......Please no more "It's COD with mech's" comment's, Yeah we get the fucking picture!

That is what the editors are saying that makes this game fresh vertical movements. I guess they do not remember Quake where players were launched in the air and fight vertically. Titans are also not a new concept as seen in Mech Warrior and Command and Conquer 2. Titanfall is just the newest game iteration involving mechs.

i hope they make some bigger maps and allow more people, because any feeling of epicness is ruined by small maps and way too few players from any gameplay ive seen

Titanfall introduces a multi level combat system and vertical movement to create something fresh in the FPS genre ??????????

Multi level was introduced in Duke Nukem 3d (1996)

Vertical Movement was introduced in Quake 2 (1997)
