Thief: The Dark Project is still fantastic - The Lobby
Greg Kasavin remembers the 1998 classic Thief: The Dark Project as part of GameSpot's Videogame History Month.
Thief 2 the metal age one of deepest games i have ever played i don't know why they changed Garret voice with some one else also they lost the game soul in thief 4.
One of my favourite games of all time, and a masterpiece in the stealth genre. I loved trying to 'ghost' the levels, and I remember some of the later levels in the game took me nearly two hours to complete (with maximum loot) because I sat in the shadows watching the patrols and timing my moves.
Highly recommended for anyone who hasn't played it.
Since it is Videogame History Month....Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri. Another epic game by Looking Glass!
Play this if you haven't yet.
Even if you don't really like stealth games. This will change your mind.
You won't regret it. Specially since Thief 2 is easily the best stealth game ever made. I don't think any game made with modern technology could match up to the sheer size of each of the levels.
All of the original Thief games were amazing. The first two were perfect examples of the fact that graphics aren't everything in gaming. The story in each game was interesting and led up to a fantastic conclusion in Thief 3. Garrett is definitely one of the most memorable protagonists in gaming history. I still have copies of the original PC versions.
A true masterpiece . Played it last weekend , right now playing Thief 2 : Metal Age . You are missing a lot if you haven't played original trilogy .
A true classic. I love this game. If you haven't played it, are love stealth games, and aren't some graphics fiend, you need to go pick a copy up
@Dasim64 I didn't know a Thief 3 existed, so all i know is that the games stopped at 2.
@Cloud_imperium Totally agree. And this new one, sucks big time!
@hystavito Good luck with that, bro.
