The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - The Sword of Destiny E3 2014 Trailer
Check out the sword of destiny E3 2014 trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Very, very enticing. I'm looking forward to this one (once I get a ps4, that is). Undecided on just playing the series backwards, or go ahead and play the first two; go in order (which will have to be on pc, as neither 1 or 2 came out on playstation consoles, unfortunately).
now sauron has been presented in witcher 3 ..i am keeping my witcher 2 save data in safe keep but lost the first one sadly ..in the fist game you have to chose to said between the humans and mutant people ..in the second game you have to chose to said either the humans or the elves and dwarves and to chose to kill/not kill another witcher ..hope they do like mass effect game present a solution to the newer players or to those whom lost their save data
Should I bother with the first two games before jumping into this? Looks like it stands very well on its own, in terms of story.
This is utterly gorgeous. Lol there is no way i'm gonna buy this for my consoles. Time to SLI my GTX 780.
IMO, this truly looks to be one of the games (unlike MGS 4/GTA 4) that could deserve a 10.
And I'm really loving Charles Dance's voice as the emporer. Long live Tywin Lannister! :)..
I've never played a Witcher game but this trailer kind of gave me goosebumps :o Looks very well crafted.
That trailer was simply fantastic..hope to see more at E3.
Can't wait to upgrade to a more powerful GPU so I can run this game properly.
All I can say is OMG this looks so awesome!! My expectations for this game has gone through the roof and I can't wait to play it! TW3 will be something extraordinary well worth every penny and more!
Will upgrade my gfx card in february:-)
2 words. only 2 words: F*CK ME!!!
this looks beyond fantastic. the dream of all Witcher fans coming true!
For those who didn't read the books, Vesemir, Lambert, Eskiel, Ciri, Emir, Yennefer were all important characters.
Iorveth from the Witcher 2 is actually Isengrim Faoiltiarna.
@leimonides It is a series that rely HEAVILY on his plot, so I suggest you to play it in the right order (besides on PC you can import your previous savegame with all the related choice you made). Bear in mind that the first one is the most dated and different of the trilogy as for gameplay, since it's based on the engine of Neverwinter Nights (though it's hard to believe when you look at how good it is), it's still real time combat but it feel different and had a interesting albeit a little flawed combo system which was removed from the second game in favor of a simpler but better combat system (also the series it's known for being rather difficult, not on Dark Souls level, but still quite unforgiving if you play reckless).
That said I definetely suggest you to play the first 2 games. :)
@Apofis_SG-1 Me neither, especially if it turned out to be as optimized as The Watch Cocks!
@karlo25 correct, but the only way to really experience this game will be on a monster PC, hence, my fabruary 2015 upgrade. ;]
@greasemonkey42 Play 2 at least, its still awesome.
@greasemonkey42 They said that they would catch you up on the plot in the beginning, however, if you skip the first two games (or even just the second), you will miss a lot of the connections you should make with characters.
@masakijoe He's more of a swordsman that has some magic. You can choose whether you want to focus more on magic or swords but you'll always have a sword equipped.
@Dwarvenpit I would have been in that group a week ago, but for having to build a new one last week after a lightning strike that went through my router down a ethernet cable fried my old computer.
@Williams0907 Traditionally, consoles do hold back the PC, but this developer is primarily a PC developer, who have been around that block more than a couple times; so I don't think we'll see this common issue in this product.
@Williams0907 oh stop.
@BrunoBRS There's a decent translation made by the fans from official Witcher forum.
@vladric If anything, the lighting system might be downgraded to watch dogs level.
@vladric Most likely it will, but with downgraded graphics. CD project red are among the industrys most skilled developers. But I will certainly play it on PC for the best experience with top notch graphics!
@stickybun Stop what? I shouldn't care about how my games turn out?
@stickybun @Williams0907 There are tons of games that were tamed down on PC because the went to console, Crysis being a major one but even ports are held back, Dark Souls Prepare To Die Edition on PC was horrible, it couldn't even output the game at 1080 you needed a mod or it would be upscaled from 1024X720.
CDPR is kind of a PC centric company though, they did Witcher 1 on PC first, and Witcher 2, now they have the funds to get it out on all platforms at once though, CDPR isn't exactly Ubisoft so doing 3 platforms at once before wasn't possible or they probably would have released 2 on all at once. By the look of what they have shown so far though I think it's going to be amazing on PC. I wouldn't get it on any other platform, I still play Witcher 2 sometimes and it looks beautiful maxed out.
@kkrrocks Way to go, man. That guy looks like Letho, indeed.
