Visual - I'm dying for it Combat - Will have very fun trying out how to best kill someone Story - So curious I don't know what to do Summary: GIVE ME THE GAME!!! I CAN'T WAIT ANYMORE!
please when is the game demo ... I can not wait ... will be an epic game that will make history in the gaming industry: D: D: D. .. please ... Good job at the company and for the other members of CDProject ...
Geralt's Polish V.O. in Witcher 1 was very good, very tough. I do hope they include other downloadable languages a la the Witcher 1's Enhanced Edition, for Witcher 2 right out of the box.
why Geralt has the ability like Batman (in arkham asylum)? That "detective mode" vision could ruin the gameplay. They should restrict it by time duration and then recharge.. something like that.
The Witcher (1) was a great game to play... had lots of fun playing it, couldn't stop playing it... can't wait to try the sequel :) I agree with I hope there will be an "Enhanced Edition" like it was for The Witcher ... no censorship there :p P.S. just finished the 2 Sapkowski's books... and I wonder if Ciri will appear in game....
Dragon Age will have a real competitor this time... witcher was, if not the best, one of the best rpg's of last years , we dont expect less from the sequel, and as far as i see we wont be dissapointed... keep it up guyz!!!
@ vampirilestat -Agreed, hard to get used to that new voice for Geralt, Triss' is different too. When you've played the game as often as I have and others have, you get so used to things that small things like this really jump out at you and are noticable. I think the other voice from Witcher1 suited him better, but that's just me, sounded deeper, more fitting for a tough character. If I could change one thing, that hair-do would definately go! @flashcharge, well -word goes back and forth but the last reliable word I had was a console version is not guaranteed, now of course to find out for sure, just have to wait until closer to release. Personally, I hope it doesn't release to consoles simply because I don't want my game dumbed down. I know from their standpoint, it's better for business, can make more money, I understand that, but the main reason why PC gamers don't like their exclusives ported out is for that reason. If they would ever release a multi-plat game where the PC was nicely optimized and not dumbed down a bit and still shined in all ways expected with the PC community you'd hear a lot less complaining.
This developer's clip video was awesome and from what was played looks like a game to watch for. Hope that the developers are making Witcher 2 for the PS3 as good as it's PC version. Like Dragon Age It's PC version outclassed it's console version.
It's looking great so far! Do hope they won't censor the nicely crafted boobies in the final version. :)
Man all the new and updated content looks amazing! THe core gameplay looks to have been gutted and refined. My eagerness grows at every update i get of this game.
Lol, no disrespect or anything 'cause I love the Witcher and am dying to play this sequel but that main guy sounds like Borat.
Where's the lip-sync? The games in XX century had it (Soul Reaver was the first I played that had it). Besides that in terms of the plot and atmosphere I hope it would be at least as good as the previous one.Fighting system was dumb nevertheless. I understand that this is not Tekken 3+, but I rather prefer to do all the punching and slashing by myself and without locking-on target.
Bad,bad..these bosses look like for 3+ game and wolf himself like well fed low paid drama actor from B movies, architecture may be great but all the rest looks disgusting, big disappointment and waste of talent.I want the original looks of the characters back and dont make it so sweet and childish.Otherwise more or less OK.
@ roli1030 I totally agree. I played The Witcher several times and it was amazing. I'm really looking forward to this but right now it looks like the first one only shinier. The new camera angle is cool and it looks great but the combat... yikes. It's just that the devs have been going on and on about the new combat system and all that and really it looks the same for the most part. Like they optimized it or something but didn't actually rebuild it like they should have done. I don't know. Either way I'll play it and I'm sure it will be awesome but it's not as great as I expected so far.
combat looks a little unpolished but i hope thats coz of the early stage on the game...the guys know what they are aiming for and thats a great positive
I'm not saying it's bad...I would've just expected something better after so many years of developing it. I mean I understand the spasms after dying but they still look like some dummies thrown down and if you pay attention closely, Geralt goes over him and the body moves as if it were inflatable. Anyways, I'm a huge Witcher(played the first one and read the first to books of Sapkowski....3rd still to come:)) and that's why I have high expectations...
@roli1030 I believe the devs when they say that many things (gestures, full fighting system) still need to be implemented. Some of the things you noticed actually were not glitches: - "killing itself of the guards" - the devs were using "developer" sword to kill quickly for the sake of the quick demo pace, also there is a bleed effect in the Witcher, which work like DOTs (loss of life for some time after the hit). - "moving of the dead bodies" - maybe they were not quite dead yet, if the effect was not persistent and happens only in some cases this might simply have been death spasms - "stiff movement of Geralt" - come on, for me it's good enough already :)
There are still lots of glitches in the game...I really hope they will solve them....such as the moving of the dead bodies...which is quite annoying; the "killing itself of the guards"....that wasn't really nice; or even the stiff movement of Geralt...he looks really weird...
Make the sex scenes for real so we can fully enjoy in this MASTERPIECE GAME. Honestly AWESOME !!! :-))
The "fistfighting" sequence looks spectacular! They've obviously motion-captured some Mixed Martial Arts professionals or something ... By the way, I kind of hope 'Assassins of Kings' kicks 'Dragon Age 2' in the ass when both come out :P. I think the guys from 'CD Projekt Red' deserve it.
Really promising game. Great atmosphere, story, characters, improved combat, crafting, sneaking, different endings... You can really see all the hard work developers put into this game. Awesome job guys, will definitely buy this game
I beg of them to fix the weird running issues that Geralt goes through. He would run at different speeds throughout the entire game. And whenever he runs he would stutter over different levels of the ground. For example, if he's running or walking up the stairs.. Geralt would stutter, instead of running up the stairs smoothly like in other games.
WTF!!! The guy talking...is he Sacha Baron Cohen(aka Borat) ? LOL cause he sounds just like him -_- (Nevertheless, cant wait to play Witcher 2, loved the first one)
