Someone asked if Lee and Carly will start to have feelings for one another and the guys hinted at something. How is this possible if you didn't choose to save Carley in Episode 1? Something's off here

Unless they can start releasing these quicker, I'm losing interest fast. I bought this game and waited a month to play it so I could have access to Part 3 without beating Part 2 and then waiting forever, even after a month there isn't an official release date. The game was pretty good, but I would never go for something like this again when you pay upfront and then wait an undisclosed amount of time to actual get what you paid for.
still no release date then........you guys suck i won't be buying another episodic game from telltale for a while
These guys are pretty smart... too bad the art style of the game completely undermines any of their abilities... same with the silly dialogue.
It's really bizarre, and not in a good way. It's like the story is written by Von Trier, but its directed/produced by Robin Williams' character in the film Toys.
How generic this game sounds. Didn't Resident Evil cover this territory? I know it wasn't the best job, but...I guess so as not to sound all negative, if you just throw in a couple of other elements you could have a great game. Otherwise all I see is shambling, slow moving targets with the a sign that says 'I'm a zombie, shoot here!', maybe a little detective work until the plot is uncovered, say within the first ten minutes of play or in the intro as a gimme, a few screams and scared kids and...an attrition of ammo and ludicrous weapons, and...it's right back to the same old survival horror.
It's Episode 5 of PLAYING DEAD people, where they are going to talk about Episode 3 of the game "The Walking Dead."
Where is EPISODE 3!!!
I hate this 2 month wait for an episode that takes like 2 hours to play.
Why the hell did Telltale decide to do the release an episode every 2 months instead of the normal 1 epside released every month?!
This is episode 5 of playing Dead the Gamespot show. They are still playing episode 2 of The Walking Dead.
@maximo This week
@pnaudi Are you serious? It's at the Playstation store....duh
@Psycold I couldnt agree more. They dont understand that the longer they take the more I can give a rats azz because the holiday season rush is coming
@Psycold As much as I like the game, I completely agree. I know the episodes will most likely be great, and when all five are released, it will definitely be an amazing game, but this wait is just torture.
@supa_stud It was released to the publishers and now it's up to them to certify and release the game. A google search could have made you look less stupid.
You'll be missed.
@wgerardi Obviously, you haven't played the game so you have NO idea what you're talking about.
@tgwolf obviously you didnt play the game and youre just spreading hate because youre annoying and probably a big fan of resident evil
@tgwolf Idiotic comment. You have no idea what this game is. It isn't a shooter moron. Do some research before you make yourself look like a total tool next time.
@tgwolf No offense but you just don't get it. You're caught in the mindset that every game must FIT in a familiar box. This is NOT a survival horror game like Resident Evil. This is something new, different, interesting and fun. Sadly, people like you who are looking for something FAMILIAR will miss out.
Wow, its obvious that you didn't play the game. It takes someone that's near braindead to NOT see at least SOME of the merits of the game. Even if its not your cup o' tea, you'd appreciate many aspects of the game IF YOU ACTUALLY PLAYED IT.
Respectfully, "The Walking Dead" is not a survival game like Resident Evil, nor is it a game designed to sharpen your aim. It's about story and making quick logical decisions about what to do or say next. Decisions that will literally haunt you for the rest of the game if you have any kind of a heart. My point is: you should try it before you knock it. I'm not saying you'll absolutely love it, but I and many other certanly do. Just don't expect to be hitting a "fire" button a bunch of times over and over, if at all. I love survival horror games like Resident Evil and Dead Space, but this is a whole different animal.
@gamergath It's episode 5 of this particular video series.
@ghstbstr when i bought it i thought its a new episode every week
@ghstbstr Probably because they got in way over their heads, and didn't realize how difficult it would be to make it so all the choices you make in previous episodes remain relevant, and doesn't toss them aside like Mass Effect 3 did to make thing easier.
Episode 1 choices to Episode 2 wouldn't be so difficult, but adding episode 2 choices on top of choices you made in episode 1 to put into episode 3... Man, that would be a nightmare. I can't even imagine how it will be like for the final episode. If they do this right, it will be amazing.
@phagans yes your right one episode a month is what was promised which never happened. And i've searched plenty of times for a release which was announced a few days ago and they still messed that up. i may seem stupid to you but i dont look half as stupid as the publishers of this game do after countless letdowns
@phagans @supa_stud No, you're the stupid one. Why would he GOOGLE SEARCH what the publishers are doing? He wants a release date and no one is giving one. This episodic release strategy is getting a lot of backlash. They are simply messing it up for future titles. people are now going to wait for finished products before purchasing. I almost forgot my choices and am now starting to not give a damn any longer. In the next 3 months we are going to be bombarded by titles and this game will no longer be relevant. They should've released it monthly during the summer when there was a drought. Stupid marketing
@BladeStrike1234 Yeah i'm sure they will miss the money.........
@IAMTYLERDURDEN Played through both episodes. Liked them a lot- probably prefer the story in the game to the show. That being said, I still stand by my original point: The animation is daffy and the side characters dialogue is usually awkward (I.E. "We thought you were gonna give us the chomp!")
@Shawn45 @ghstbstr Not that hard really. They're just coding it so that the game keeps track of previous decision point choices you made and pulls the next set of pre-programmed sequences that have been developed based on those options. Difficult from a storytelling standpoint to make sure that everything makes sense in the end but programmatically it's just saying you chose A, then B, then C so the outcome is D based on those choices.
@ghstbstr @maximo yeah they said it was in August and it was already posted that it was coming this week. If they are going to meet the August deadline then it has to be this week. I think it was IGN that said this week it was coming, so it might be tomorrow. Many people are pissed, so they have to do something. This is awful strategy. Madden comes out tomorrow and Sept has Borderlands 2 followed by RE6, Dishonored, Bioshock, and AC3 in Oct.
Alot of Telltale games were one a month, as for The Walking Dead I assumed the same because they never said any differently.
So I for am not happy at this every 2 month or whenever they feel like it release of the episodes.
I hate this crap, because I lose track of what happened previously on the other episode(s) after waiting 2 months or longer for the other episode to come out.
@endorbr @Shawn45 @ghstbstr Not really. If the choices are truly effecting the game differently, then the entire narrative should change. For instance, depending on who you chose to save in episode 1 changes which character lives and is around for following episodes. If they're going to have that decision mean something, and the saved character isn't simply sidelined and then quickly dispatched, then that character will be present in the ongoing storyline. This could, and should, significantly change the narrative, which means by episode 5 TellTale is going to be producing a lot more content than what was in episode 1 to account for the many different choices that have piled up since the beginning of the game. And the amount of complication as the game goes on will be multiplicative as you factor all of the choices made in each episode against the different choices from every other previous episode.
