Waiting for that game you really want to play can be a painful experience, but it doesn't have to be one! The Waiting Game cherry-picks the best games to play, films to watch and even books to read while you wait for launch day, helping you prepare for th
Schedule: Tuesdays at 12pm PT
Host: Johnny Chiodini
I wanted to play Singularity then I forgot about it..... Hopefully I'll run into it for cheap at a swap meet or something
Its a bit too early to make waiting game a year before game is released don't you think? Who want to be prepareing for a full year. P. S. you forgot Inglorious Bastards :)
Anyone that is serious about video games should have a healthy multi
year backlog of games so that they dont care when games come out. Thats how my life runs anyways lol.
um... I can't believe this wasn't mentioned in the video - how about going back and playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein? It's an AWESOME game with excellent graphics for its time, super-tense atmosphere, etc.
In fact, I have installed on my PC as I type this - because it's FUN. (Windows 7 64-bit) It runs great with my mediocre GeForce GT430 and I'm getting literally 90 FPS.
I thought this show was about games that will arrive next month... It would make more sense.
Nothing against you @johnneh, you know it.
Singularity was fookin awesome, if anyone hasn't played it go do so. And Johnny, Dead Snow was an alright film tbf it just had Norwegian subtitles :/
Dear ID, please don't jump on the band wagon of adding stupid hit markers or kill indicators to the game. Blood, wounds and the enemies falling down dead, is hit marker enough. many single player campaigns these days are held back do to annoying hitmarkers and kill indicators(Black ops 2, GTA5, BioShock 3). Please, make this game immersive and hardcore.
Singularity was criminally underrated when it came out, I really hope that the guys at Raven are given a second chance to redo it once they've got enough money from working on Call Of Duty Ghosts.
maybe i should pulled myself together and finish Singularity and the last wolfenstein(veil suck ahole) i´ll recomend the movie Fahrenheit 451
i like this show because it makes recommendations of books and movies. and it helps people appreciate gaming content by giving them a broader perspective. seems well researched to me. nice one johnny. keep up the good work.
Ok? My guess is that Feedbackula is down now so this could be the next trolling series. So tell me how to play the waiting game until PS4 comes out.
lol who's playing the waiting game for this game? Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for it too, but there's so much else to play right now, who has time to even think this far ahead?
After Johney's rant on that other show I have just decided am done with him so I will now only come to GS for the games and Downery (sp)
I like the idea of this feature. It's a positive look at video games and hopefully encourages polite discourse. Remember when you don't antagonize the readership, good things happen.
I never played Singularity. Going to have to pick it up.
<a few moments pass while I check stock on gamestop.com>
Holy crap! Gamestop has it for $6.99 used on X360 or $9.99 for the PS3! Um. Picking this up for this weekend. I love inexpensive awesomeness.
@ dipdish Please reread my comments. I think you may have missed the parts were I said the U.S. was reasonable for committing some atrocities in the world. But Europe for instance has a far longer history of this then we do. I also find it interesting that you chose only to reply to me. Do some of my points hit home with you? I stand by what I have said. But then again I am sure you feel the very same way. I guess this only serves to illustrate the great divide that there is in this country and the rest of world between liberal and conservative thinking. And to be honest I have no idea how to close that divide when our world views are so diametrically opposed. I have said in other comments that I appreciate liberal points of view even though I do not agree with many of them. But I am not sure that I can say the something about liberals appreciating conservative points of view. I think that this happens because we both feel that we hold the high moral ground in any augment. So I thank you for being civil and not resorting to name calling. I am sure that this is not the reply you were expecting is it? And I look forward to our future exchange of ideas.
Singularity was a quality game, played it on the PS3. Reminded me a lot of Bioshock in some respects, I thoroughly enjoyed the game and highly recommend a go!
I actually played Singularity. I agree. It was a great game. It was one of my favorites the year it came out.
I don't think I'll get this. I do like the idea of alternate realities. Much better than fiction based strongly around real life there is very little wiggle room to make a decent all round film without taking it way over the boundaries. It is one of the reasons I'm a big fan of science fiction.
Alternate realities though give the opportunity to take some reasonably familiar real world idea or places and just go crazy with it.
My problem with Wolfenstein is that it is FPS. I'm just totally burned out on FPSs at the moment. Doesn't feel like anything truly original has come out of the genre for years. Not because it is lacking imagination, more because seeing the world out of the eyes of a person looking down the barrel or a gun or at their hands is just limited all of itself. Even things like cover mechanics have to be thrown out with first person games.
For a film, I would say Der Untergang/Downfall. For a book, I would say Number the Stars. And for a game, let's go with Freedom Fighters.
@Godlikan and Inglorious Basterds
@Dinostrich Because that movie sucked.
@tony93666Remember playing it on my old PS2(good times)
@tony93666 I really believe that RtCW is the best FPS of all time. I don't think there will ever be another FPS game in its caliber.
@ps3gamer1234 Wolfenstein was amazing. Only bad thing about it was lack of guns.
@Spazzh20 Singularity had great gunplay and powers but the writing was so awful it made me want to turn it off.
@Spazzh20 Singulariy was so boring I couldn't even finish it. Wolfenstein was highly under rated when it came out. If wolfenstein had the huge selections of guns of RTCW, it would of gotten a 10/10 for the campaign alone.
@solid_snake1461 Feedbackula? Down? Why would you say that? Butthurt because Johnny put you GTA trolls in your place? If anything, I hope they do it MORE. Hilarious watching you squirm.
@solid_snake1461 A wonderful idea. Playing some PS1 game, would make gamers appreciate the advanced technology they have.
"The readership"... ?
I always enjoyed Feedbackula's attempts to correct a childish minority of commenters who thought the stars shined so brightly out of their rears that they could do without polite discourse.You know, the type that think they represent the site's Readership.
@PixelAddict Enjoy it, a great game.
@Gamerno6666 No it isn't.
@slayerSS-3 It would have been better if he has suggested Return To Castle wolfenstein instead of the 2009 one. ;)
@Passion101 Watch the early Start/Select episodes.
@jcknapier711 heck yeah!
