Nothing new here at all. Small maps, run and gun. Bullet sponge enemies and bullet hose protagonist. Frantic gameplay...just more dumbed down shiny objects for the idiots who's only purchasing power is mom and dad. Mom and dad have single handedly ruined video games with this crap.

Having to require tips on what to do until the release of some game has confirmed my suspicions that society really has tanked further than I had originally thought. Back in my day we did something called living. Kids these days probably have never heard the word before but I assure you it's quite fun and rewarding. Yes, better than game achievements.

Battlefield 2142 has mechs in it: one of my all time favorite multiplayer fps's Not sure if its still being played...

War of the Worlds is a brilliant book and Pacific Rim is also a brilliant recommendation. For those that haven't seen it yet, but want to? Two things...

... Gundam. There are dozens of GREAT Gundam games (and Crossfire), which is much closer to style of Titanfall than anything mentioned in the episode. Even the cockpit (linear seats, anyone) are pretty much a direct copy of Gundam. The style of jetpacks is pretty much from Gundam (although those are only for use in Space. Multidirectional thrusters) and the background story seems to be pretty much Gundam. It's only really missing Angsty teen-age boys stealing prototypes. Infact, Gundam Battle Operation is a game with on-foot and in mecha combat and is a free to play title on the Japanese PSN. The series is also the grand-daddy of all military-mecha show, and is partially responsible for defining the genre in Japan, which has been way more successful there than here.

Way too much hype for what looks like just another FPS. Keep your pants on GS and wait for the full game.

Now GTA5 is in the pocket (or xbox rather) I'm waiting for the biggest title announced this year: Destiny! :P

I would recommend playing GTA5.

I also highly recommend Heavy Gear II- great mech piloting game, but the mechs are much more similar to those in Titanfall than in Mechwarrior/Battletech- very quick and mobile, but more vulnerable to damage.

Don't forget Hawken! Free-to-play mech combat with Occulus Rift support!

This game is a lot like Mech Assault 2, especially with the "Mech Jacking" feature. It's just a little less Mech-centric.

Johnny has good taste. Pacific Rim is a very good movie.
