I'm definitely like Dwight Howard when I play these first-person shooters. Aimlessly firing until I die.
Nice Noobs spraying everywhere. It would of been funny if you saw in the back ground a guy running around stabbing everyone.
@StAzKrnchyNMilk Watch just about any action movies released between 1982 and 2008, and that'll pretty much be what you're asking for.
between the modern warfare 2 trailer (till i collpase), last year's kobe bryant/jimmy kimmel combo, and this sam worthington (alex mason) and jonah hill pairing up I will give call of the duty the edge in attention grabbing commerical for their games. However, while I still enjoy call of duty in small doses, I am now officially a battlefield guy
Jonah sure dropped a pound or two, looks good for this trailer ..although curious as to how will his future movies turn out now that he isn't big
I like both for different reasons. I prefer BF series, holds my attention longer. Plus all the gibber jabber from kids in the lobby kills me. First thing I do is mute everyone in the lobby. My second gripe is due to its popularity it gets hacked to death. That also gets old. I remember hopping from, game to game, just to find a non-hacked game, with regular players who just want to play. I hope this doesn't happen, this go 'round. In short, they're both stellar games. This trailer is hilarious!
@pipeline3104 That's what I mean, I doubt "fanboyism" has much influence here. Anyone who is even vaguely interested in MW3 immediately shouts "BF3 FANBOYS R SO DUM" the moment anyone has anything bad to say about MW3, and it's just the same for BF3 related stuff. In reality it looks much more like people just have opinions, and everyone wants to completely discredit those they disagree with, thinking the word "fanboy" makes their opinion invalid. Some people do and don't like this trailer. There's no way for you to know why. Man... If I don't hear "fanboy" ever again, it'll be too soon...
Haha I love how BF3 fans look for anything MW3 related and post negative comments about it. You guys must be that bored with BF3. When MW3 comes out I will not have time to post comments on how bad BF3 is. By the way BF3 is so unbalanced from vehicles to aircraft its ridiculous. When does it take 6 sniper shots to kill a man and how can a flashlight blind you during daylight? LOL
@parrot_of_adun I was not saying that EA or BF3 had anything to do with it, I was simply saying how all these BF3 Fanboys critize anything related to MW3. Now you can say you didn't like the trailer, but these BF3 fanboys don't have anything to back it up with, just that it is something advertising MW3. At least when you said that the video was not awesome, you didn't go on and on about how EA and BF3 is so much better then MW3, you just said you did not like the video, which is fine with me.
@DaxterD isn't the point of these games to have fun while killing others? COD just is embracing the fact that it's not really about the "war" part of the games anymore, rather than the "25 KILL-STREAK NOOOOOOOBS!!!" I get what you're saying now, but whats with the atheist thing, i never called you jesus, i just used an example, as in you were condemning people? Thats all i meant.
@Deadeye233 Oh ok there relax, I just don't like it because it minimizes the phenomenon of war down to '' YEAH IN YO' FACE STUPID RUSSIAN!!''. The other trailers you mentioned (we could add BF3 to this list) don't do that, or not nearly as much. I have no problem with violent games because the digital rendition inherent to the medium used creates a clear distinction with real life, something we can't say about this trailer. As for movies, I don't like those who ditch realism for the ''awesome'' factor either -- smart war movie are great though (FMJ comes to mind). For the not-so-nice name calling, I don't get why I shouldn't criticize what I don't like in our society instead of voluntarily ignoring it as you suggest. I'm an atheist btw.
@pipeline3104 You shouldnt be surprised... these BF gamerderps flock like flies to turd on anything CoD related. Seriously, go to ANY MW3/CoD article you can find on Gamespot and count how many of them are in full force for every single article. Then go to some BF3 articles and see if you can find any of the like coming from CoD fans. Not even close. Its pathetic, and very telling for sure.
@pipeline3104 I think the problem is that the trailer is, in fact, not awesome. BF3 and EA have nothing to do with it.
It's amazing how people can negatively review a game before it even comes out. The other thing that angers me is how all these BF3 fanboys are on critizing this awesome trailer just because EA can't think of something like this. BF3 was fun but MW3 will blow it out of the water.
@hawaiian8 Boy, between you and all your fellow hateCoD coregamernerds, Im actually kinda nervous there's not going to be very much of an online community for me to play MW3 with. (sarcasm)
@sknight175216 You cant be serious. There's plenty of MW3 gameplay footage. Now Playing right here on gamespot has about an hour of multiplayer, with Bowling answering viewer questions about new features.
@DaxterD I don't really get your comparative question, first of all, because why would you be looking at a trailer for that type of thing in the first place? And furthermore, this GAME TRAILER, is supposed to show 2 players IN THE GAME IT IS ADVERTISING. Tons of games have had live-action trailers, Ghost Recon Future Warfighter, Skyrim, etc. And if you really have a problem with unrealistic depictions of war, why do you play any shooters, watch any films with gunplay or any violence in them for that matter, or anything along those lines? Your comment was an obnoxious attempt at acting like a prophetic little holy-man, and reeboker's quote was "stupid hollywood $hit," as in "wow this is a dumb trailer" unlike you, who's acting like this is some unheard of sin against nature. Get over yourself ya goof.
lol i wonder why they went with a more arcadey comedic, summer action movie style, instead of being all about realism like the bf3 commercials are.. oh yea the graphics. nvm
jajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja funny but it looks like mwf2 . msby cool game but it looks the same sh¿?*t
I Had such high hopes for BF3 but EA rushed it to release it before MW3 so now they have a updated version of medal of honor dont get me wrong i love BF3. If they fix all the hacking of people reaching prestege 99 in 3 hrs i mean come on. That and Rush spawn traping its quite annoying and pisses me off and no im not a noob acually my K/D is 1.78 and they need to fix all the problems or else its gonna get traded in for Saints Row The Third and this commercial is funny as hell.I cant wait for midnight to pick up my hardend edition. and i also love how people judge a game before it comes out. This game is going to kick ass and surprise alot of people and BF3 was rushed and came up short on everything except multiplayer everyhting else was so dissapointing
I'm not trying to flame so bear with me here. Why is it that I haven't seen any gameplay from Call of Duty since the snippet I watched at E3 whereas Battlefield had the whole beta thing going on? I really want to see if this game will be good, but there's no gameplay or anything for me to even determine that. So I'm thinking it's more of the same, which isn't bad, just not anything revolutionary.
i am a Battlefield fan, but i have to admit, Activision appear to be more confident about their product than EA does. EA has invested extensively in their marketing campaigns, but rarely do you see MW3 ads that desperately attempt to capture your every attention. Again, this coming from a BF 3 lover.
