in one part of AC1 (don't know exactly which one, maybe the fourth) Lucy shows Desmond she is missing a finger, like "hey, I'm one of yours" Here she have all ten fingers in her hands... I'm the only one who noted that?
Why... what happened to Ezio's introduction? The fight? Racing his brother to the top of a tower? His night with Christina?
You just cut out like ten minutes of story, plus an awesome title sequence.
I really do like these videos guys, but seriously?
to get me pumped for Assassin's Creed 3 and refresh my memory of the games' stories, i went back and played every game from AC 2 and this is helping. cant wait for AC 3!
i remembered now why they put him in the animus to train him for a bigger fight
so in the upcoming AC games the game could be just for desmond and fight against timblers in modern world it would be weird but it might work :D
I love these videos, but could you at least turn down the gamespot ident thing at the end of each video? I'm sat here listening intently when this fuckin' loud whoosh scares the crap out of me! It's too loud and comes out of nowhere!
One thing that was perfect in AC1 and missing in later series are the conversations/philosophical debates when you kill a main target. Yes they were illogically long and the person would die almost instantly after a stab in the neck, but those conversations were so good and moral ambiguity was so fine that it didn't matter. I miss that a lot
@Omni_Paradox Well, there's a lot of game here and I'm trying to make them into around 30 minute episodes spread through the week. So for running around 2.5 hours, a lot of content needs to get cut and what is left needs to have continuity. While the fight was a great introduction to characters, there was a lot of time spent on it and it would have taken time away from some of the more important things that happen in the first part of the game... namely his family being captured and him becoming an assassin. When looking back on the story, those are the moments that are bigger highlights.
I think it's only the important bits of the game, not every cutscene in the game.
Which means the Brotherhood one will only get 1, maybe 2 parts. And Revelations won't get any.
I think that is ultimately the goal. He'll be the best assassin because he'll have the combined skills of Altair, Ezio, and Connor.
@bicelis i didn't liked it
it was lond and stupid i mean he is dead how can he walk O.o
beside i think AC2 is the best game then AC1 ^_^
@bicelis Agreed. There was something highly engaging about discussing philosophy with a man whose vocal cords you've just shoved a blade through.
@antoineflemming Seems you have something in your eyes then, the graphics where great, especially in the cities.
Imo, this is the best AC up until now, together with revelations.
@trywizard Well he obviously couldn't walk. It was shown like that so the character could show body language and thus make what he's saying more convincing and real. Again, the developers knew that it wasn't logically possible. But they made a creative decision in order to say something not only to Altair but to the audience as well. It's creative, daring and well executed. I can only congratulate such effort. AC2 was of course better, but in my opinion it did lack that one thing.
@Jan_Meja_Heir Exactly. The developers knew what they were doing, but didn't care, because it was more important to ask questions, get answers and THINK. And in the moment in death truth is all there is. Those moments showed your enemies as men of conviction and ideas. And while You don't agree with them, at least you understand and respect them. In the later series they seem more as bullies - some stupid some very clever but still mostly power hungry bullies.
@jemoedr It's the character face models. The textures for most of the characters are more lifelike, but the models themselves (of just the faces) are worse than AC1. And it's very clear they changed their graphics between AC1 and AC2. Graphics are more cartoony. More stylish so to speak, than in AC1. Graphics in Brotherhood and Revelations are better than in AC2. Revelations better than ACB and AC1. But I wouldn't say that the character face graphics are better in AC2 and ACB than AC1. And, clearly, the graphics are better in AC3 than in all 3. And, finally, Desmond looks like the AC1 Desmond again, instead of the crap change they've made in AC2, ACB, and ACR.
