It is 2014 now, the game needs to be released and I hope it is a success.

Bethesda was interviewed and sadly, no Fallout 4 news for at least another year. The EARLIEST we'll see anything about the next game will be 2015 or 2016

Fallout 3 and skyrim both use the same engine, so unless they have a new engine there really is nothing to be excited about

I'm tired of saving the world and somehow being an "alpha" character in games. I want to be meat just wandering along and really earning the title, not just being lucky and being in the right place in the right time to make me special. Many games have that that problem IMO, making the player somehow better than the other characters.

Oblivion was the last one of these I enjoyed. Still don't know what happened. I loved Oblivion, tried and failed to get into Fallout and tried and failed to get into Skyrim.

It's funny because at no point during any of my fallout adventures do I remember wearing a gas mask. At all.

I didn't even wear that cool NCR Ranger helmet.

I'm not a PC elitist, but I do believe strongly that the next Fallout games need to be next gen and PC only. There needs to be a significant overhaul of the graphics and the gameplay..

Yea Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games ever

Are we all forgetting at Fallout 3 was a bastardisation of a deep and rich universe to make a poorly conceived TES clone? New Vegas was a proper fallout, but Bethesda's take was all flash and no substance.

Good to see Fallout news(or even expectations) from another huge fallout fan like me...

Would be nice if they announce 3 new Fallout IP's

1) Fallout 4: PS4, X1 and PC ONLY, no old console crap to dumb-down the game

2) Fallout Collection: Fallout 3 and NV for PS4 and X1, 1080p, Hi Res textures + all DLC

3) Fallout Classics: Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, 9.90$ downloadable games for PS4 and X1, not remade but full HD resolution and gamepad support.

OH God please NO Fallout MMO, Please let it be nothing but a lie. To hell with multiplayer if it means messing up our beloved RPGs ...

My inner Fallout fanboy (vaultboy?) screamed with happiness at that ending.

The Fallout series is hands down my favorite game series ever, and I'm absolutely dying for even just some solid news on a new game.

I hope to god they at least say something about it at e3.  hands down my favorite game series, only issue is the damage it causes my social life.

I just hope that if it is announced it is a 2014 release. I am starving for a good role-playing game.

@dannydopamine8  No they don't use the same engine, and even if they did, that makes zero sense. Half-Life 2 uses the source engine, Portal uses the source engine, they're both very, very different games. Plus, look at all the games running on the Unreal engine.

It's not the engine, it's what you do with it.

@ALLoY1717  See, for me it was the other way around, I found oblivion to be fun, but only alright, and was eventually convinced to try skyrim and fallout, and absolutely loved them, still play all three normally.

@Xmus942  Gameplay could be improved somewhat, but I always loved it. Graphcs and animations though yes majorly.

jupsto

@Xmus942  You really expect them to throw away hundreds of millions of dollars just to make a better game for us on PC. Step outside to the realworld sometime, friend.

@Xmus942  Especially the character animations and interactivity between characters and the environment. Combat needs a lot of improvement too.

@Benny_a I think that would be the highlight of E3 for me!

@DrKill09 if you play it now u will realize most ov the bugs have been fixed and the ones Bethesda didn't fix the modding community did. or do you prefer mind numbing games like cod so u can fell better than ur mates cuz u got a higher K/D ratio.

Blue_Tomato

@DrKill09  You prefer an easy to debug linear game with only an illusion of freedom instead?

@ravenbeast 1000%, I wont be playing no fallout MMO, thats an instant BAN, I ownt even support a MP mode in my Fallout.

Fallout 4 MUST be classic 1000+ hours mega awesoem Single player.

Online gaming is for teenagers that cant afford more then one game in a year

@translucent17  same here. I dumped almost 250 hours on New Vegas. Maybe, just maybe, the best game ever made. No jokes.

@strikeTactI agree 100%, I am already not happy to see "The Elder Scrolls Online". But it will come, unfortunatly.

Blue_Tomato

@thomanji @strikeTact  I do not think Bethesda will ignore the poor reception of ESO. They should stick to what they know best and what their fans really want.

@FreeTheEnslaved @alaannn I played Skyrim on the 360, then the PC... it was basically a remake on the PC because of the mods and because the load times are effectively non-existent so re-loads, deaths, or going through a door only takes 1.2 seconds vs. 30...

thomanji
thomanji

This is true, but what scares me is that such games are in the production for many years. So I am scared that they maybe worked on it and will probably not dump it if it exists. Well, we will just have to wait and see. One thing is sure, I am looking forward to go back in the wasteland and waste another 150 hours of my live ;-)
