They actually managed to reduce some of the little things i was worried. Especially the way the camera moved when the character is running and a few other things. Its actually shaping up nicely. Cant wait to get my hands on this one. I hope claire makes an appearance. But judging by what she said in degeneration, she wont be doing any fighting. If she even shows up.
rest assured i'm sure the controls /mechanics and camera angles are still as painfull as ever, theres some nostalgia for yah
wow a lot of people dont like this game .... hmmm , well dont matta !! its stil going to sell a lot . like all the resident evil games.
what a horrible gameplay and graphics, no rag doll either - and stop playing with the aweful god damn console controller with that aimbot
This post i wish that besides other fans like my could get in to the hands or eyes of capcom employes.
First of all i'm a resident evil fan, a zombie games and flicks fan, then i'm a facebook fan, and i use it every day, including the games on facebook.
Now i will take you directly to my ideea and questions at the same time.
I wander why capcom/resident evil creators are in such of lacks of ideeas....in the resident evil universe.
to be specific, last week i was hunting for facebook games from my office, and while i was very bored i stumbled on a game called :The last stand: dead zone, since then i'm playing it every day 2-3 hrs per day. The game is perfect for me in much ways but is far from finish, oly a beta for now.
My question is why the hell capcom did not even try to make a browser /mmo/rpg/pvp game with resident evil formula, when this aspect is offering unlimited potential, even financial. Are they even not interested to make such a game, when other companies are aproching the browser games(ea,ubisoft).
It is so easy to create a story in RE universe, but to be a browser game.
what do you need: 1.very nice design and caracters
2.a very good story with animation and cool drawings(ex:wasteland empires, marvel's avengers, ghost recon comander, war comander-some facebook games with good graphics and designs).
3.detailed level progresion to keep players like me for ever on the game(an rpg/startegy-ex The last stand:dead zone);
for ex: why not chose from a list of known RE caracters then chose sides :suvivors or umbrela and then you can start in a part of a city infected with monsters/mutants/zombies ,have some boss batlles from time to time, level up,have some very cool weapons to chose froma and a lot more of them while you progres from leveling ,while zombies progres to beeing more of them and the while you try to do the story have some big battles pvp matches, were you can atack the other camps(umbrela or suvivors)steal weapons loot...etc.As the story and level grows you unlock different parts of the city some new some familiar to RE universe.
Just imagine that we have on my side of the camp some STARS members(wich i can name them on my own),and some VIPs like Jill,Chris,Leon...were you-the player try to fortify a smal camp with diverse types of buildings and techs(fences, mines, turrets, spikes, sniping towers...).
On the other side you could have umbrella corporation with its secret unit commando, some mercenaries,or some different types of nemesis(according to player level) some vips like wesker, his son, veronica..etc...
If I wass working on this ideea a little more i could get a lot of diferent variants from it, after all it is a 30 minute ideea.
Why capcom is not thinking ot this oportunity.Imagine hundreds of RE fans joining on facebook.
The era of browser games is only at begining.
we only need imagination.
Pard me for my rusty english.
There is already a classic style horror storyline with Leon and the rest is action as far as the clips go. And the game may be harder than it seems and somewhat more hectic. I think more horror and thriller will still be needed for the hardcore traditional Resident Evil fans. I think there will be just enough going on as long as the horror overpowers now and then
This isn't resident evil this is some bs game with familar characters with a familar name on a box trying to represent a series long ago. I was hoping they were going to step away from this path but since RE4 till now the games have been losing there soul. As a fan that help make this franchise so popular starting today I'm going to dub this series as Resident Mediocre 3. In my eyes this series ended after Resident Evil Zero on the gamecube...
Resident Evil 4 was the last horror Resident evil. 5 was an action game where zombies...people infected with a virus, would pop out of anywhere and everywhere for no reason but to annihilate them. I wanna have the fear of walking in a dungeon where a blind hulk tries to destroy you when you barely have any ammo and you have no health and it takes 3 tries to figure out how to off him.
:( video games truly sadden me for the most part now a days
i am sorry, but what an ugly looking and playing game. even door openning looks retarded. action looks bad... why would zombies head explode if shot at its foot or hand??????
used to be big fan of the series. love game changes, even when new developers completely take a different aproach... but this???????
Too much dumb. They've even removed the hit zones... and the zombies appear to be made almost exclusively out of watermelon...
I hate this series now...
Im going to get this but seems to me to be more of the same. The last game had lost its identity and seemed to have morphed into a more of an action game rather than the tradtional horror/suspense game.
Also, I have never been a fan of the control system, its always been clunky and the last game was a huge disappointment for me. I felt that the series had lost its way.
I just want them to give me a damn Resident Evil game... Give me a huge creepy virtually lifeless complex to explore and I'll be one happy RE fan. What is so hard about making a creepy RE game? You've done it like 3 times already!
Why does this series now insist of forcing a partner me?! A well done, anxiety causing, edge of your seat single player campaign is what this franchise needs to be. Not exactly survival horror when you or your partner can overcome a situation by simply using more ammo and quick time events than the rest of the series combined. Still. Not. Sold.
Lack of in game audio in the video really watered it down, Plus that japanese guy was a tool constantly gesticulating in front of the camera.
I love how there is a series quick time event button-presses just prompting to get Leon to look where the keys to the dam car is....and then another just to get him to turn the key.
As if not pressing a button means your character would nonchalantly decide he didn't want to start the car, and would rather be eaten by zombies....
Great game design...
It seems ammo conservation is gone. Even since RE4, you couldn't just shoot zombies repeatedly in the chest and kill them and expect to have any ammo left in 2 minutes. You had to hit the head, kick, hit the knee, suplex, or lead em' all down a path and throw an incendiary.
Here, he litterally has enough ammo to kill every zombie he sees with body shots, even while wasting missed shots trying to hit one far away with his pistol.
Don´t care if it´s more action-based than a horror game. Resident Evil never fails to deliver. Except for the one that came out for the ps1 that was a FPS...horrible game.
I missed the old days of resident evil where there's many mysteries to uncover and remember the zombie in the closet while reading the diary in RE1? that's epic....... but now it's more like: "Oh I just shot a zombie, great?"
yes, turning off the waypoint marker and the reticule - sweet. that really bothered me from the e3 demo. looks nice! luckily i'm one of those guys that can enjoy both the old AND the new resident evil.
Really glad they're responding to our feedbacks and trying to keep both action and horror gamers happy... There are still sum stuff that I don't like, but looking from the point of view that there are more people interested in action shooting instead of survival horror, I'd do the same as capcom... (you need to broaden your target group) Nice goin, I hope by October you make it something I'd buy cuz at E3 I really began doubting if I'd buy it or not. (And I AM a resident evil fan) Long live RE 1 and 2...
From what I see, you'll basically play the game hoping nothing comes at you, or something important is on your left, because this OTS view hates your left side.
People complain about games staying the same, people complain if games try something new, stop being ****** hypocrites or find a new hobby.
1st mistake. Leons campaign going for more of a traditional horror when you have a PARTNER with you. 2nd mistake. Automatically pointing out the exit upon entering a large room makes the person usually want to go straight there instead of exploring anything. Jesus, capcom. Go back to the old formulas.
@BlackBaldwin your story is quite cool and you should tell it again. resident evil was barely ever horror, it was the dawn of dead of horror games, meaning it was really cheesy, campy, but also fun... ur just imagining something that never was
@mentalmetal Wait wait, Resident Evil 4 was supposed to be scary?
Holy shit, I played the game wrong. Killing spoooooky crows and spoooooky villagers and spoooooky chickens while collecting spoooooky eggs and spooooooky herbs and spooooooooooooo...
@RAD_RADIO theres nothing hard about it, the market for survival horror is smaller than the market for action games. so what do big companies care about most?....exactly $$$$
@LtReviews Not really ..you can see he skiped a lot of zombies during this demo presentation. An the demo is probably on easy mode or normal mode. Hard mode won't be like that. But guess what? I had 200 parabellum ammo saved in REmake. It's way more than you would have guessed for a RE game - and REmake is a true RE game
@Kaeban Ye the survival ones kinda sucked :P
@Zaika Who could forget itchy tasty in the closet haha :)
@Zaika gone are those days, man. i was thinking the same thing. the fear of knowing you dont have enough ammo, and when you HAD to use it, you couldnt run, stand ground and puttem down. theyve done a good job of desensitizing what the resident evil series was. still good games though.
@Peter_Eater You can switch shoulders
Actually... those arn't the same people. I wish games would stay fundamentally the same... just enhance the fundamentals.RE5 from a fundamental standpoint, had little or nothing to do with the first 3 resident evil games, and that TO ME is a huge problem for resident evil fans like me. From the looks of it, RE6 isn't doing anything to revert the path back to the roots of what made RE a good series. And then there's the people who didn't much like the original RE game mechanics, who absolutely adore the new action oriented RE games... those people were never meant for the RE series in general and could get their rocks off on many other games with the same action.Don't get me wrong, RE4 and RE5 were great games that I enjoyed like crazy, but they weren't and are not RE games, at heart.
@Ballroompirate Change is good, but the problem is that they take it in the wrong direction. It's supposed to be a horror game....well...was.... When you exits pointed out to you and a friend with you that takes away from the horror element. There are problems that need to be corrected. Games being the same can ALSO be good with minor adjustments. The game looks more of a movie rather than an actual game.
you know everyone the re series has always been about partners.truth is the first if they were made today instead of back then would be co-op today.the first game had 2 chacacters in each story.chris and rebecca, and jill and barry.this doesn`t include finding the other partner locked up.re 2had leon and ada,the other claire and sherry,re had jill and carlos,re code veronica was claire and steve and then chris and claire,re 4 leon and ashley,re 5 chris and sheva.so the way i see it all the re are about team work.just that in the older games they helped in the back ground or you played them in certain parts of the game.all the re5 did was just make the partner more readly available to play instead of the back ground.
@scarlloty Good to know scarlloty can make up excuses for developers while they create same old shite.
Oh! So you can choose which will be your blind side. Awesome.
(read as sarcasm)
RE5 wasn't scary and the story sucked, but don't you dare clump RE4 in there, when that is easily the best of the series. I played RE2 and RE4/5 RE4 is a masterpiece.
@resident_jisen It's actually true what you said... And people love to forget(or don't even know) that RE0 had a singleplayer co-op system
Yes, I totally see how Ashley and RE4 classifies as an active partner, because who wouldn't want to play co-op with the second character unable to do anything but cry in a corner and throw furniture at zombies?
