At least Trainz have a EULA that is reasonable concerning UCG. TS2013 developers have really put an end to the tradition of creating add-ons, by claiming legal ownership of anything created, by forbidding the sale of it and even going so far as trying to stop TS2013 developers making stuff for other sims. They don't care about the community - they want to control it and squeeze as much money out of it as possible.
Looking forward to it, if they don't overdo it with the pricing.
Multiplayer doesn't really appear to be multiplayer as we know it (some people playing on the same route at the same time working on various objectives), so I wonder a bit what good is it to play part of a scenario to then send it to a friend to also play it, I think this needs more explanation / examples)
The vision they had for multiplayer about 2 years ago were more intriguing.
Still playing Trainz (by Auran / N3V) too from time to time, but their game engine has a technological standstill since about 5 years and it's not being improved further and they rather concentrate on mobile devices instead.
On the multiplayer aspect I think Trainz is ahead of them, it's fun to host a multiplayer session for some people, which all interact with each other at the same time on this route. (yeah, multiplayer even)
I wished Auran / N3V would invest in their R&D department and polish up their game engine. (Such a "simple" thing as hitbox collision physics for example would already add much more fun to it, I don't even necessarily mean graphical improvements as I don't care much about that anyways)
Anyways, I'll check out this Train Simulator 2013 and hope that the DLC from the 2012 version is compatible with it.
U dont just ride a train u moron u drive them aswell! Sry but i get a bit annoyed when people laugh at train sims because they are alot of fun to play if your interested in trains like i am.
@bigj255 I think you may be exaggerating "just" a little bit...
