Carolyn gets her hands on the new HD remake of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on Wii U. Contains some story spoilers.
Did you enjoy this video?
This is why the Wii-U exists.
But i won't be satisfied with it unless there's more stuff to do this time round, i mean lots and lots of stuff. But don't cut out content from the original because it's bs when they do that, the game was great and doesn't need to messed with just upgraded.
Cool. Something I wish a Zelda game would do, is connect all of the fantastic Zelda's we've played over the years; really show that history. It would be powerful and fascinating in my opinion.
I just never really liked how in each game, it was always so different from an environmental perspective, and perhaps that's part of it, but I wish we could see some of that history to know that it connects as we know it does, and where in time we stand; who came before and who will come after (unless its the current).
Furthermore, I kind of wish they also took the Link and Zelda relationship to the next step, not necessarily lovey dovey stuff where they're kissing a bunch, but certainly more intimate through expression.
I was disappointed in Skyward Sword, but something I did kind of like was that the early glimpses of Link and Zelda's friendship was kind of cute. I just wish that sense of history that we've all experience through the games was acknowledge more, and the story between Link and Zelda were told better.
I never got to finish this game when it was out on the cube. I'm so excited that it's coming out on the WiiU in GLORIOUS HD. I'm so f*!king excited! :-D
Lmao at 2:34 in the video: A great thing about motion control is in the heat of battle you can move the first person perspective of the bow/arrow really fast! Yeah, like this game is hard enough that you need to do anything more than Z-target + shoot arrow, or slash slash slash!
Hero mode is good, but they fucked it up in skyward sword. Why was there still heart medals, etc? There's still ways to get hearts and shit in the hero mode. What's the point??? Even hero mode wasn't challenging... enemy AI was still easy as fuck
@zerantoss Please share with me how you completed the Boss Rush on Hero Mode. The bosses themselves weren't hard but I found that I lost most of my hearts on the bobokin run in the hyrule pit area
I loaded up the GameCube version last night. This remake is a bigger improvement than I first thought. It looks way better than the original. It doesn't seem to have the extreme blurring that the original has, either.
This game was perfect with the GameCube controller. It's one of the best gameplays I have ever seen back then. My only fear is how things will work with the Wii U gamepad...
You know, I would by the fuck out of this if it were on the 3DS. There's just not enough games on the wiiU for me to want it.
Um because they are?If my brutal honesty scares you, then you should cease asking idiotic obvious questions. Personally, I just don't see how the Gamepad would work for convenience sake, that a secondary on screen window wouldn't.
Probably the most exciting thing about this is that using the cannon might not be annoyingly difficult now.
is that umm... she-man playing?
Grow up you offensive little pr%&k
Who cares what you think. She's working in the games industry and doing what she loves and earning ££ doing it! which is a whole lot more than what you will amount too matey i'm sure! Please keep your sexual issues, self loathing and hate to yourself. What you think is inconsequential. Nobody wants to hear your opinion anyway as you are an irrelevant individual. Please think carefully about having children as one day your views might be tantamount to abuse especially if they don't turn out to be what you expected.
@SlaviksG You little 12 year olds still snigger at that joke? :S
I still see the Gamepad as a useless peripheral, really.
Switching on the fly while playing? Really? Isn't that distracting? Especially in the middle of a boss fight or fire fight, etc?
No wonder devs are dropping ship. They just don't have a damn clue what to do with the damn thing! Sorry I'm just being brutally honest.
What can the Gamepad do, that an on screen window can't do?
What makes you think a remake of Gamecube game would showcase the GamePad? Yeah you're being "brutally honest" but at the same time, you're not using sound logic either.
I can understand if it was the Zelda game made for the Wii U that made little use of the GamePad. Also switching on the fly wouldn't be distracting if you're accustomed to the layout of the GamePad's screen.
It's a must buy, for me. I never finished Wind Waker on Gamecube. *sad face*
@Cor0203 @Diegoctba That's one of the biggest reasons I fell in love with Zelda games - the puzzles. :)
@Diegoctba How come?
I never had a Gamecube to play this game, my dear.
That sucks, man. But I assumed that you've played the game and didn't finish it, because of the word 'finished' you used. Or it's just my bad English...
Don't worry, i think i didn't explain well, english it's not my first language too.
Well, I understand you now. But I think buying the game would be worth it. It has a great story and cool puzzles!
carolyn is giggling all the way through.
the power of zelda.
Is it just me, or was the castle cooler in the original. Black and white?
Awww memories, takes me back to the days of the gamecube :)
i really wanna see nintendo do well but they need to stop putting out the same thing over and over
@Metallicwolf29 Yeah I really wish EA and Activision would stop with releasing the same thing over and over too
@Metallicwolf29 Since 1 HD remake=samething over and over... How many remakes did Sony do this last gen? I remember quite a few and I really don't see why anyone complains about remakes they hardly take any development time and they are nice for those that want to replay a game...
