I like "The Last of Us"-multiplayer a whole bunch, except I am having a hard time doing much good... I mean, I do ok, but always fail those "objectives" when they occur ("Raider Attack" etc.).
One thing I find annoying, is that most of the times when I play (I am level 3 atm), I get pooled in games with players above level 50 and seldom people at my own level. This feels kinda cheap as they have access to better equipment(?) and skills.
Anyway, I really love the game and am really interested in trying out the new Interrogation-mode. I would be fun to WATCH THE BURN instead of watching them escape.....all the time :p

Unfortunately, that mode doesn't work properly. People can get interrogations with bullets and Molotovs as well. Players should be careful about their mission status if they are going to play this mode. While I was defending the lockbox, my "downs with auto rifle" mission didn't progress. I killed 3 guys and none of those kills counted towards the mission.
And just like the video showed, no one plays this game stealthily anymore. Right now is just a run and gun fest. That completely killed the multiplayer for me.

since the patch they made the semi-auto rifle underpowered, the burst rifle overpowered, the one hit melee weapon range even farther which makes it look like lag and the players you play against with takes longer due to the weeks you're in.
@Sarijon It's not the most literal of programs, but c'mon, the bow and the flamethrower pretty much count, right?
@JoshDPU Do you get most of your kills through melee? Or are you largely a support class, with the reviving and the healing and whatnot?
@_Judas_ If you're having trouble with objectives, I suggest do the healing or gift-crafting objectives. You have to equip the right survival skills, but then if you stick with your teammates and focus on your chosen task, you should be alright.
Also, remember that the number only indicates how many weekly challenges a player has completed. The icon reflects how many 12-week stints they have completed. It'd be nice to have better matchmaking, but at this point you'll probably see a bunch of high numbers just because people have been playing for a while, not because they are necessarily better than you.

@BrunoFurstBrito I encountered some problems too. It put me in a match that was almost over, causing big problems for my supply haul.
I have seen those erroneous "you were interrogated by" captions when I got sniped or burned, but I'm pretty sure it didn't actually count those deaths as interrogations.

@HaRdNiPs True. They messed up the multilpayer. Burst rifle, pistol and melee weapons are too strong and accurate now.
@Chris_Watters @JoshDPU Actually I think I goofed and only have brawler 1, so I try not to get into fisticuffs too often. Having the second hit on the insta-kill melee weapon is fantastic though, nothing is more satisfying than having a baddie chase you around the corner only to be met by your two-by-four o' scissors to the face.
The healing and reviving is great for parts, and your team will love you for it. Once you need >90 or so supplies it becomes virtually impossible to consistently get enough parts without some sort of support role.
Gonna have to make a build to try out this flamethrower now though...
@Chris_Watters @_Judas_ Great advice. I never "focus" my skills (no pure stealth-focus f.ex), I often use some of this and some of that. Maybe I'll try an spend some time creating specific classes, like one class that focuses on downing opponents and another class meant for reviving and crafting.
I'm not giving up, though. I'm gonna keep wearing my appropriately named "Norwegian Hat" and pound my chest! Thanks for taking the time to answer my commen :)
@Chris_Watters @BrunoFurstBrito Two times I got executed, one by Molotov one by rifle shot, the message appeared and the opposing team scored a point at the exact same moment. I don't think it was a coincidence.
Matchmaking is a problem since the beginning. One time, I had just ended a match scoring 13 downs, 13 executions, over 5000 points, population over 90, the connection had full bars, so when the Hunter Attack appeared right after those results, I chose a mission accordingly. While waiting for the next match to begin, I was suddenly thrown into a game 2 vs 4, score 8 to 20, not a single connection bar, that completely ruined me.
Before the 1.03 update, I played a game when I was level 14, had three partners level 0 and fought against a team with players level 198, 110, 75 and 38. It ended 20 to 0. A few days ago, after the update, it happened again. I was level 27, had only two partners level 0, and fought a team with players level 101, 58, 14 and 9. It's hard to get a fair match.
@JoshDPU The support tip is a good one, those kind of skills are a great way to buffer against the ebb and flow of how many kills you get. And yeah, love surprising eager enemies with the ol' two-by :)
@BrunoFurstBrito The matchmaking definitely still needs work. There is nothing worse than playing on a team that has little chance of putting up a good fight. Matchmaking has to be a bit more balanced, dividing players up better instead of putting all the high level players (completed weeks) on one side and everyone else on the other.
Just yesterday I had a string of bad games and I think this issue contributed to those miserable games. Heck, I am somewhat afraid to go back now (I probably will though).
