The game world and cars look nice but im not sold on the gameplay yet, the cars seems sluggish NFS style, i hate that. Back to Burnout i guess.
Looks like it could be a very fun game. It's definitely ambitious. I just hope the driving mechanic isn't lame. As a precaution, this won't be a game I'll be getting on release day. Gonna have to feel it out first.
Looks like something I'd play, pretty good chance I'll buy if the reviews hold up.
I was also going to say the whole "RPG" moniker seems to have completely lost it's meaning and can now be applied to pretty much any game out there(in other words RPG doesn't really mean anything anymore), but I see several people already beat me to it.
Im really hoping that this could be the TDU 2 we never had. (I mean that TDU 2 was terrible whereas TDU is one of my fav games of all time)
I think they should learn what RPG stands for...
Man, game looks so friggen awesome! Its about time we get a new quality racer installment! Can't wait for this one!
haven't been a race-game-head for a long time. so far, from what I've seen, this game looks like it's set to put me back behind the wheel for the first time in about 10years!
I like the open world aspect of it, but the races/activities seemed kind of uninspiring. I mean the slalom thing? Took like 15 seconds
I really like the concept of this game, more than going around the same old tracks that we've been digitally racing on for years now (Suzuka, Laguna Seca, Nurburgring, Le Mans, etc). I will definitely be making this purchase when its available.
How on earth could Kevin vanOrd be excited with this at E3...
Hell, i have my reserves with the Division (the companion/casual friendly/smartglass integration model seems pretty out place if you ask me) but it definatelly looks way more interesting than this.
This game looks horrible. As like the past, when any new game console comes out all the game companies jump in making crappy games to make a quick buck. No thanks.
Lots of interesting stuff in the video, but I couldn't get past how he was pronouncing camaro. I mean, he's probably french, and english pronunciation of stuff is gibberish for the most part. Most other languages make sense or are at least consistent, but man this bugged me. Well, I think you need to use at least as close as possible to the original languages pronounciation. It annoyed the hell out of me growing up when my friends pronounced it super mary O brothers. Mario, it's an italian name, learn to pronounce the words you morons. Hmm, I've started ranting.
This doesn't look particularly special, like a poor-man's Gran Turismo, or a rich-man's pre-Apocalypse Fuel.
It looks interesting, especially the fact that I'd be able to drive across the entire country. I doubt my PC could handle this at proper 1080, though. Guess I'll have to finally decide which next-gen I want to start off with.
Ubisoft really has a hard on for the satellite interface. It's literally in everyone one of its games, not sure about Watch Dog though.
You know i love real racing games that are in someway more towards simulation than arcade. Games like NFS: Shift but i have to say wtf is Racing RPG? I have never ever heard of it before.
Haven't seen any damage on the cars and i don't really like this teleporting cars thing(changing cars on the go), the game and system looks good but is there no damage? I don't really play racing games where you can't destroy the cars, thats one of the best parts!(And that's why i like burnout, ALOT)
I like the idea of a massive open world environment from a car racing game...one question though...is there a law enforcement element to this game? ...like cops chasing you on the highways if you go above the speed limits.
@Carton_of_milk totally agree on that comment.
@Enkhrypthor send him to gaming univ. let him learn to make some great games. :)
@ck10304 Have you played Test Drive Unlimited 2? Open world is awful. Better to play a game that focuses on proper races, rather than one you'll struggle to race on because everyone will be fucking around.
@nicolasetespqr It's also a completely different type of game
@Tixylixx No such thing as an open world racer. No racing takes place.
@Tixylixx I'll help you with your sentence ''Open world racers suck to me, all I want to do is race, not spend most of my time driving to races.''
@sigmact Winning a race no longer comes down to skill & the car, but how much leveling you've been doing.
@FarginIcehole Old School...Nice. I'm a 2049 The Rock fan myself.
@Xpyder I completely agree with you. I would imagine that limitations on car damage were imposed by licensing deals with the auto manufacturers. Real world car models do not interest me at all, I would rather the game developers offer imaginative new car models. Why create an open world game where anything is possible except this, and that, and, oh what's the point?
@rez_1kabir yes, there is...
