We talk to Dax Ginn of Rocksteady Studios to ask who the Arkham Knight really is and check out the new and improved Batmobile.
Did you enjoy this video?
I never played the last 3 batman games. Are they open world? Can you drive a bat mobile in those games?
Well it took them long enough but they are finally getting near the batman game ive been wanting all along for like 15 years. Still I won't be completely satisfied until its full gotham with traffic and everything. Basically the closer they get to GTA: Batman, the better.
If the games graphics are as good as the video (or at least close) and the gameplay and world are done well, this could be a game that is worthy of a 10/10.
My brother had a very good theory on who the Arkham Knight is.
My brother thinks that the Arkham Knight is... Batman. As we know, Bruce is messed up after the events of Arkham City, involving Joker's and Talia's death. With Scarecrow being the main villain, we will most certainly see hallucinations involving Bruce's parents and even the Joker. Then the Arkham Knight comes. An "anti-Batman" carrying Arkham's name and trying to stop the Dark Knight represents Bruce's guilt and fear and he must battle himself to coup with the guilt.
It's just a theory my brother came up with, but I think it's better than the Arkham Knight being Hush or Joker's clone/son.
the entirety of Gotham City!!! yes!!!
its Batman's DAD...............
No, Gamespot, I don't want to be automatically taken to some other random video. I was quite happy reading the comments.
Don't you hate that "feature"...
But on topic, Arkham Knight looks like it's gonna be the ultimate Batman game. I loved Asylum and City (didn't even bother getting Origins), but every time I saw the batmobile (in Asylum) or the batwing (in City) I was just thinking how awesome it would be to take them for a spin. Looks like I get one of those wishes now, anyway. :)
i hope there are completely new gadgets, upgradable armor, and a new combat system. id love to see different costumes again as well, but this time get them the 1st play through.. if none of this happens, ill still buy it, its F*CKIN ROCKSTEADY!!!
This game is going to be awesome.
I might be the only one that hopes for a new, intricate combat system.
Am I the only one who cares to speculate on WHO Arkham Knight actually is? I have a couple pet theories going.
Can't wait. Arkham city was awesome. Didn't get origin and don't intend to. WB montreal? Lol yeah right.
I don't need to read or see anymore about this game to know i want it. i already pre-ordered it.

yes and no @Dredcrumb9
@deltron77 why change the combat system? it's perfect the way that it is... what they could do is make it a lot deeper than previous installments, but still have it easy enough for those who can't combo more than 3 or 4 punches.
@toddx77 I sure hope so.
@Fire_Wa11 I think its Jason Todd. Tim Drake is robin in Arkham City, and Joker references killing Robin in Arkham City as well, so that must mean that Jason Todd has already died and been revived (if they kept that part of the story in their game). Jason Todd is pretty much.. Batman with guns.
He was trained by Batman, knows all of his secrets and abilities, and since being revived he uses guns. He also uses Batman's enemies against him. Batman considers Jason his greatest failure.. so possibly him using the Arkham "A" on his chest could symbolize Arkham being Batman's greatest failure in their story. I dunno. I would fucking LOVE for it to be Jason Todd.
Another theory I have is it could possibly be Hush. I don't really know much about Hush other than he has a personal Grudge against Bruce Wayne, and he surgically altered his face to be Bruce's twin. Possibly he found out that Bruce is Batman, and copied him again, becoming the Arkham Knight..?
Only two things I could think of.
@Fire_Wa11 Okay. Let's hear it.
i want it different top to bottom, which includes combat. 3 games had the similar combat, while good, i think it needs an overhaul.
so if the combat was changed, and the way they changed it was really good, it would ruin it? no of coarse not, people would be happy with it. rocksteady is an excellent developer i agree, good enough to overhaul the combat and still make it a great batman game. if everyone including myself has such faith in them, why is everyone against them overhauling it? in my opinion, after 3 batman games, 2 by rocksteady, i feel in the combat is getting a tad boring. its button mashing combos that you do over and over, id like to see something different. just my opinion. this is the last post on this subject im going to make, this is a 6 day old post im kinda getting tired of the subject.
@deltron77 Dude.. its the LAST Arkham game they're making. For them to completely change the combat now would horribly ruin it. This is supposed to be their biggest and greatest Arkham game yet. All they can do is add on to the combat, not completely overhaul it. The most I think they could do is add a bunch of new animations so it at least doesn't feel the same. They most likely will have something better though, they're professional game developers.
giving his opinion is one thing, using a mcdonalds wendys analogy to define my logic on the matter is another. so yeah, uppity. he could have easily left it to his opinion, instead used my logic, which is insulting. of coarse thats my personal interpretation, thats quite obvious.
@deltron77 Frankly, I did not see him become "uppity" because you gave his opinion. I simply saw him giving his after you gave yours.
Then you go on to say he is getting uppity. That is your own personal interpretation.
Were you getting uppity cuz he gave his opinion?
do all mario and zelda games have the same gameplay? no, some do, some dont. yet they are all a franchise. if you want to say same series, zelda is a series with different controls and gameplay. there are many other elements than gameplay that define a series, or franchise. someone is getting a bit uppity, i gave my opinion, i think the combat could use an overhaul.
@deltron77 then the Arkham games wouldn't even be in the same series. when it comes to video games, the main thing that defines a video game franchises is the gameplay, change the gameplay too much, then the game can no longer be part of the same franchise. you logic is like going to Wendy's or Mc Donald's and complaining that they still serve hamburgers instead of getting rid them to serve something else.
