I'm glad with this game they have explained its set afetr the movie not duringcannot wait for this game, preordering now!!! want to see and play as stan lee too :D
im getting it the last spiderman game i played was spiderman 3 on ps2 so lets hops its good like that was at the time
I really hope the final game doesn't have the screen tearing and glitching that this demo does. If the final game has that its going to be pretty disappointing especially in 2012... its embarasing
But otherwise the game looks like fun. But I can see it getting extremely redundant. I'm imagining the missions getting extremely repetitive. You'll basically beat the main story and do a few side missions and then get sick of it and move on to something else.
Another spider-man game where web just stick to clouds like magic...Damn talk about "realism"Well lets get back to Batman
ok so i came back and actually watched the rest of the video... and there may be hope for this yet. i still want a demo tho
although batman has set the bar quite high, and previous spiderman games have been too short a story and easy, this could be quite decent
All these people talking about Spider-man 2 have giant nostalgia glasses on. Just about the only great thing about the game was the web-slinging. The rest was all about finding the balloon.
Is quite strange because, unlike Spider-Man 2, his webswings seems to attach themselves... On the sky?! Remember me of the lame Spider-Man of Nintendo 64, when the web grabbed the clouds.I prefer to see them getting the buildings, sorry.
I love that the free-roaming is returning, but I liked the Spiderman 3 swinging better. You had to attach to buildings and you could dual swing. It added a little strategy to the swinging, plus the city looked amazing...I have been to NYC many times...its a good recreation...This game also looks amazing...A definite purchase for me, I'll have fun either way...I've owned all of the N 64 and beyond spiderman games except for the Sinister 6 one...PS only if I recall. Spiderman 3 was my favorite....but Spiderman 2 was also epic.
So, I'm guessing it will just be repeat the same random street crimes and rescue people 200 times before you get to move on with the story... the most fun you can have in a Spider-Man game is just web slinging. Is that worth 60$? Well... maybe.
Wow, it actually looks like an authentic, Spidey, experience. The character motion and movement has me excited. And, I'm seriously loving the web-rush.
This game looks so beast, I am so pre-ordering it. Does anyone know what Gamestop bonuses you get from ordering it?
Aww, I wanted to see the big fall Ryan Davis was talking about on the latest Bombcast where Spidey falls flat on his face and bounces off 5 feet, and then goes to beat up the goons at the basketball court.
I like how this is going so far ... But i hope the camera is adjustable ... Ill probs get a headache after 30 minutes lol
is it just me or does the combat( and the stealth takes downs he talked about) look/sound like they were copied from Batman Arkham Asylum/Arkham City games? it works though.. and the vertigo like sense you get as you web swing? that;s pretty cool. .. i am so getting this game when it comes out, i really hope they put out a demo on PSN.
Yes finally spidey is free out of the box..wow
i can feel him he`s soo happy web-slinging through Manhattan...
i want to thank you Mr.DEE and each Activision member for bringing ``the Spider-man`` back to life
this is not only a spider-man game this is without a doubt :
THE AMAIZING SPIDER-MAN
this game looks amazing.I dont know why people bash games before thay even come out and play theam:(
@kos_maverik spiderman had free roam on ps2 spiderman 2 3 and ultimate spidermanbut batman and robin on ps1 did have free roam (that game was awful) so they have both had it before but spiderman was the first one to do it well out of the 2 in my opinion :)
@thefloorhugger spiderman 2 was slightly better, spiderman 3 had too many quick time events but was an enjoyable game
@hennesit I agree SM2 was terrible except for the web slinging. I sold that game a week after buying it. I trust Beenox, SD was the best spider man game i played so far and Edge of time was slightly disappointing but still was a decent game. Also at least they get good voice actors Web of shadows had the worst spider man voice actor ever.
@marinermick you are aware that bat man and spider man are two diffrent heroes and the games go two diffrent directions
@GianniBR I actually hadn't noticed it until reading your comment. Good eye. I don't know what devs of Spider-Man games are thinking about when they do stuff like this. As Spider-Man Game players we all understand that "Spider-Man 2 The Game" had the BEST swing mechanics of Any Spider-Man game. No game since then has come close to matching the swing mechanics.
Honestly, looking at this game-play, as long as he's Actually Below Top Building Level I won't mind if the webs go straight up to nothing (though I'd prefer to see them connect). If you can just keep swinging even if you're higher than the Empire State building then I'm going to be pretty disappointed. Hopefully they take a better look at these details before the game comes out.
Aside from the webs not looking like they're attaching to buildings, the game looks pretty sweet. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. It might be decent, or it might suck Spider-Balls. Let's hope for the former and Not the later.
@GianniBRi know dude was thinking the same thing game looks good though
@gary102500 From GameStop you get The Rhino Challenge, where you rampage through the streets as the Rhino. It has a time limit, though.
@thekazumalord It is inspired by the batman games
@jubeio You're totally right, but I didn't say that.. I said that the free roam and the combat looks like playing batman.. Feels that way. Not that it copies batman! ;)
@ghostwalker @marinermick I had no idea because I was clearly dropped on the head as a child. Of course they're different games however given they are of the same genre and I.e. action, and more specifically they are both superheroes action games, comparing the quality of the games (not the tone or direction) is valid.
Thank you that sounds really cool.
@DanielDude97 No its not he even said it was inspired by lucha libre. dont you ever listen -____-
@kos_maverik I cannot wait to see the most ridiculous comment :P
@jubeio Oh, be sure about that :P
@kos_maverik heh heh that's true, suppose I wanted to make sure everyone knew it hadn't been copied from arkham city, because lets face it those comments will be coming soon :P
@AltaiirAuditore The fighting style is lucha libre , the combat mechanics such as the counters and silent takedowns were inspired by the batman games. :D
