@Epicurus-Reborn yes, I agree with you. but I would like if they add a bit STALKER gameplay type. to have the possibilities to return to a previous map. IMO (sorry 4 bad en)
@tonet666 i think they'll keep it fairly linear. One of the best parts of Metro 2033 was its story telling, and when a game adds too many sandbox components it can take away from the story and restricts what the developers can do to tell their story. i think a good compromise would be to make some of the levels bigger (like the subway stations) so the players have more to see and explore in between the plot. But for the sake of conversation, if you look at a game like GTA, the defining sandbox game, you might see that the missions themselves are actually very linear. its because they take place in such a large open map that you get the illusion your in control of whats going on. In truth, GTA is a sandbox game, with a linear story wrapped around it (which is what allows the GTA stories to be good) With metro 2033 theyve opted out of the sandbox element because its unnecessary to tell a great story and keep a player immersed.
I love Metro 2033, one of the best FPS game i have played (still playing to full fill the achievements) hopefully Metro Last Light will double the pleasure and fun...
I enjoy the first one but it was a bit linear gameplay. I really hope that this time they added some more open-world but I definitely will play this one.
@ohdammit that is happening right now in real life, we fight against each other, when the earth supplies are getting lower, then the human kind likes the power ; )
hopefully since the writer of the book is working along side them the story will be better then the last one.
gkhalifa then why u came here? to tell us that u dont like fps? 1 we dont care,2 read before opening a video
"pessimistic view"? how about "realistic"? what is portrayed in the game is going on right now - people fighting against each other instead of trying to survive the environmental threats that are probably only going to get worse...
here's hoping that they don't screw up the stealth system this time... the first one would be so awesome but man... getting through those levels that were designed for stealth... so frustrating because of the odd enemy behavior.
Picked up the first after I read through the book, besides it being a tad unpolished it was an amazing experience. The feeling of helplessness was engaging and the atmosphere was both unique and enthralling. A truly unique FPS. High hopes for the sequel.
need to play the first, and maybe even read the books...this is quite the stark constrast from the brainless 2 hour twitch shooting of most of the games on the market currently (or coming soon).
oh man oh man... This is epic game, i love Metro 2033, hope this game is more epic than it predecessor
