Apparently they've added damage, I like this, but hopefully you have to pay to repair your damage. This way, it will make people think twice about trying to bump you in order to win (Bobby driving). Oh and it seems to be set in Ibiza. There will be night and day + dynamic weather will be a treat. Single player will be story based as well. And you'll also get to decorate your house (or yacht). You also won't be limited to your car. You can get out and walk around.
...stunning visuals? dated visuals. sims 3 already has a racing expansion lol. Im with sleepychicken...social online immersion for a racing game is great. i love how NFSHP did it with autolog, however TDU2 couldve beaten it by having all of that immersed within the open world, & included constant connectivity via seeing your online friends in your world on the island with you at the same time whenever they boot up the game. that wouldve been cool. however, all of this extra avatar, casino, clubbing, house parties & stuff aint for me. i just want a good racing game. location wouldve been really something cool too if they improved the graphics. they really don't impress, not with games like forza 3, GT5, NFSHP around. Too bad, this game had potential. From what ive heard, the controls on the PC demo are sluggish too. Seems they probably overlooked what Test Drive is supposed to be all about. Racing.
^ This game is full of epic win Preordered on Steam, cant wait. GT5, F3 and all that are fun... but nothing beats an open road with exotic cars :)
@guitar_man_94 no im not coz i own a xbox aswell and they are mainly both equal but blu-ray does make graphics better, the detail is better. it is a known fact that blu-ray makes for better graphics or better quallity in movies
Once this game comes out; I think this will be the only racing game I'll play, but if not it will be most of the time out of the racing games I have. A nice game to get even if you just like to hang out and go cruising.
I hope they put most of the work into the gameplay and driving. I want a sweet open world racer. This whole casino, dance club, wealthy "lifestyle" simulator stuff does nothing for me. I'm all for good community features, but I can promise I won't be standing around my friends video game mansion, kicking it by his video game swimming pool, listening to dance club music. I'll be out driving.
As much as i love TDU - this is just lame... all their videos look the same, and the camera angles are horrible and very static.. Still getting TDU2 nevertheless! :)
@I_am_the_Opus, the first TDU was better than Hot Pursuit (i.e. Paradise 0.5), so unless Eden takes a step backward like Criterion did, this should be BEST RACER EVER. TDU1+New Island+Off Road+Weather would be enough for me, the rest is just bonus points. Only question left is whether to choose PS3 for the better wheel or 360 for more people online...
I see nothing exciting here. Cars driving around different locations and the same techno/hip hop style music we have heard 1000 times before. Id fall asleep within 10 min of playing this "game". I am already snoring.
cant wait til feb 8 come on.... this game is great i still play tdu1 dont care what haters say about this game not realistic haters make games famous they end up buyin it so shut up and drive..........
i dont know if its to late but there letting ppl test a beta version when they release it but u have to sign up on there website
@clap-trap0095 ok clearly your just a ps3 fan boy who doesn't know what your talking about because blu-ray doesn't give a game better graphics
@Xbox360Gamer15 ok clearly your just saying that it looks better on the 360 coz your an xbox fan boy which i can tell coz of your name and when did xbox 360 get blu-ray? yeah it dont have blu-ray so ps3 will most likely look better
damn, I totally forgot about this. The game is gonna kick ass. I just bought NFS: Hot Pursuit too, I wonder how the two will stack up.
@metagear2000 - Dude seriously? Did you actually see and play the game (GT5) ? The graphics models on 70% of the cars look like they were taken right out of the PS2 GT games. Not only that, why are you comparing a simulator racer to an MMO racer? They are two totally different games... PLUS IN THE TRAILER THEY HAVE A DEADMAU5 song! hahahaha Ghosts N' Stuff
All you get in GT5 is the cars on a track...in this you get a entire city; two at that. The graphics can't be compared...this isn't a track racer.
Graphics look outdated. Especially after seeing the premium cars in GT5. I do like the idea of being able to drive the cars on the opened road and not just on the track.
