PRO: I loved TDU1 for all the little details, open world to explore, opening windows, and really detailed car (for the time.) CON: An MMO is about making yourself a unique story within a world. Today I want to fight, or just craft. TDU1 was an arcade racer with an expanded multiplayer interface. TDU2 they added a casino, but I don't get why they think it's anything like an MMO ... Still, I'm getting it, hoping for some real progress!
Hmm.... interesting though nolubez, i never thought of that my self. But true i do agree about being able to customize your car visualy, but about tuning it and whatnot im not sooo sure.
@nolubez: I agree with you brother i dont want to look like the person on the left and right of me i want my car to say F*** stock im doing it HARD giggidy LOOOOOOOOOL
They had clubs in tdu1 and NO ONE used them, as far as I could see. With no customization of cars (like Forza), or even true custom visualizations, everyone's cars will look and drive the same... again... Is it just me or do these people seem to know NOTHING about the gaming community??? I will buy the game because I am a car nerd and it looks like it will be another beautiful environment, but mark my words, it will be tdu1 all over again...
Anyone else thinks that these social hubs & clubs will be a huge sausage fest?! The concept sounds promising but let's hope it will be primarily a racing game rather than a "Playstation Home" meets a few exotic cars. I'll still buy it though.
@snow_yellow you're pretty right with your arguments but remember: Don't want it? Don't use it ;-) There are plenty of anti-social facebook losers out there who will think that hanging out with their "friends" in the garages IS "social". I don't mind. Keeps creeps off the road :-D Let's hope the driving/racing part is still there when the game comes out.
-KEY aspect is a social aspect -Every place you go you can meet people -As a gamer I play MMOs -Ideas came from MMOs and social media like FaceBook -All areas in the game are social hubs -Invite your friends over and basically hang out with your friends -Group together to form a club/guild -Fact that it is NOT a pure racing competition (my favorite) This is going to be a HUGE failure mark my words. I have seen it over and over again happening in the past. No one wants to hang out with their friends in virtual garage made by someone else. Till what extent you will be able to hang out? Sit on little chairs have a little green drinks, listen to the same tunes and type in message boxes with some more message boxes popping out that your little virtual guild member just won 1000 virtual money and bought 2 more spaces in his virtual garage? That's not hanging out, thats wasting time.
The social thing is abit over the top imo and im not really into the socializing network thing, All im looking for is a decent open world driving experience with lots of exotic sport cars, if it becomes a facebook on wheels im going to give this a miss!
I so can't wait for this title :D:D looking great and they make it sound awesome. If it's only half as good as they hope it will be epic :D
