Looks like a fun shooter, though it's pretty clear to me that the license is just a label to give the game more name recognition.
@dxBIGBOSSxb i dont think XCOM would be that big of a fail, i just hope this dosent turn out to be one
@shanethewolf It's because it's in the same universe. In fact the game holds true to the formula of espionage, assassination, and assimilation of mass conglomerates. This, I think anyways, is in many ways what Fallout 3 is to Fallout. Yes it's modernized and in a new direction, but it WORKS, and it looks like it works very well... unlike the epic fail that will soon be XCOM.
It looks sweet, but too much going on in the hud. Like when you look at someone they're outlined in blue. It'd be annoying to have that happen when i just want to shoot them.
It looks very good, but I don't understand why they used the Syndicate name if they're going a new direction. Oh and is that Duke Nukem doing the protagonist's voice?
So they couldn't make squad based first person shooter where you walk around Cyberpunk city and kill bad guys with miniguns? How can you f that up? This and XCOM makes me sad....
"...there's always an element of navigation and puzzle solving..." ...HOLY CRAP!!! A vent shaft right next to the door i need to get in to... Oh my GOD my mind has been BLOWN!!!
i dont know but although theres no platforming and other stuff but the graphics and the way the weapons are held reminds me of PREY 2 as well
That looks amazingly....lame... Honestly, not sure what Was more boring, watching the gameplay or the narrator.... Seriously, hire someone with a personality to market a lame looking game at least... Still, maybe they can make a decent looking vid to make it worth looking at...
I get a feeling your "friend and mentor" will become your enemy since he kills people in a ruthless way... GOD I hope I'm not right. -and please get a guy from Starbreeze to tell us about the game, not a complete joy-killer from EA that probably does more harm than good to the developement of this game anyway.. I'm pretty sure I would have enjoyed this if it was presented with some enthusiams ..or no voice over at all..
The article I read in gameinformer had this game sound like a stealth fest with tons of options. This looks like a generic first person shooter with lackluster AI. I'm disappointed.
the atari...aspari seem to be a bit flawed A.I wise. Still as a fan of the SNES version of syndicate I am interested to see if they can create a strong sense of immersion with this.
I was looking forward to some Syndicate gameplay footage, not some generic shooter 0815 gameplay footage. What about the developers "it's not going to be just another FPS" statements - What I see in this video IS just another FPS. Nice job of ruining yet another franchise - Put EA's Origin trojan DRM on top of it and then blame piracy if the game does not sell (as usual). No sale here. One of the more interesting FPS I'm looking forward to at the moment is Interstellar Marines, whose tech previews are already more innovative and interesting than all FPS releases of the past 5 years together. (and this comes from an Indie game dev studio, so expect it to be DRM free too which is always a big plus)
Looks cool, but I could do without the crap in the middle of the screen. Can't they move that off to the side?
Agreed, it looks very much like another Deus Ex remake with the 'Syndicate' name-tag slapped on. I'd have preferred a remake of the actual Syndicate game, but this could be a good FPS, it's certainly worth watching.
