This is one of the first VanOrd reviews that I found a number of points to disagree on. He did not give any detail on the character creation process & options. I didn't come into the game with a preconceived notion of what race I wanted to play, but 3 minutes into making my character and I was disappointed. All the options essentially were the same. All the physical traits were identical for each class, and the basic appearances really didn't alter that much either. Who would've thought that I'd be left wanting something aside from your standard Humanoid in a universe so in depth as Star Wars.. /boo The non-Jedi classes are buffed to the max while light sabre wielding ones are watered down beyond being true to the movies/books. Obviously something had to be done here to make the other classes desirable, but I thought the dev team went too far. How many times do you have to whack away with a LIGHT SABRE to cut something anyway? The interface, appearance, and feel seemed almost identical to DC Online. It came off a bit too stiff, and the graphics were not as lush as VanOrd leaned towards. AMD Quadcore oc'd to 3.6 w/ a 5830 on board has proven strong enough with much more demanding titles. The speeder/taxi services pull you out of the otherwise immersive world. They are just as cartooney as anything WoW has put out.. (aside from the Dark Elf /dance)
