Surviving the Post Disaster Cityscape in Nether - A PC MMO
Check out gameplay with an explanation of the lore and enemies of Nether from game director Chip Sineni.
Looks promising, but for the love of god, put the messages somewhere else than right in the middle of the screen! I honestly like the fact that DayZ is influencing other games.
LOL... how is this on the Top Games list at Gamespot... looks exactly like a re-skin of the epic failure "War Z".... only instead of "Zombies" they have humans who have "lost their humanity" ROFL... whomever designed this POS should look for a new line of work.
the atmosphere is the only thing going for this game, i dont want to hear the same knife sounds every time i use a blade weapon. like someone else said, a bigger variety of enemies would be nice aswell. They made it look nice but also it looks a tad dated, like the smoke and or fog works well, but when your not focusing on far away objects you see the plain and dull textures. Id also be nice if the implemented some sort of barricade system, board up windows and doors, defend a building, while a hoard of creatures attacks for a certain time limit. It has potential, but if they release this how it is from what ive seen so far, i dont see it doing that well.
Looks like a very big world with lots of places to explore. Graphics seem dated for a 2013 game. I don't like fighting 10 of the same exact enemy clone.
Bottom line: Interested but needs work. Hopefully it shapes up well by launch.
"I just got sniped" "My bad"
That moment tells me that everyone is going to look extremely similar and you won't be able to differentiate between all of the different players.
Horrible game lol... the challenge is just not there...slashing nether people away with a machete haha.
These players try to sell this game really hard but failed hard as well...
Needs a bigger map and more players for me to call this an mmo. MASSIVE multiplayer online is a gross overstatement. 64 is a large number, just not massive. Also needs to replace 'doctor's bag' with something more realistic for a post apocalyptic scene. Must be a placeholder because it sticks out like a sore thumb.
They wont make any profit with this game, they should stop putting any more money into developement while they can. Nothing original nor anything well executed. State of Decay PC is lot more anticipated.
dayz meets metro?
i dont understand the fun in perma death games where you basically need to start all over again
Killing mutants again then again is a boring repeated copy ... and players will begin to hunt each other as that will be more challenging & more fun but for me it will be annoying & a messy. :(
The only thing I like is team work within players to regain safe zones.
In brief I like more if players would band with each other VS smart AI mutants … then may be make different safe zones each one owned by a clan somehow I think that would be more interesting. :)
i just dont like those odd looking creatures, we dont need half life meets dayz, im sure most folks would rather be able to goof around and hunter eachother down
this creatures serve more as an annoyance, thats why dayz is better because its just a bunch of stupid broken zombies and its more fun killing actual people! in the game* of course hehe
it looks better than Dayz the env is richer and more interesting, I also like the hud but I don't see much customization also I would like to see a 3rd person, that in addition with clothes custom. Would make the game more beautiful.... but I don't think they are going to do that :(
every zombie theme game is stupid, in there concept. And yes, i'm including classics. I think RES4 is the best... everything else is landscape.
Something is not right with the movement animation while the melee weapon is equipped. The hand and sword moves as if the player is limping forward.
@Mousejockey I'm not surprised since ""nether executive production team had/have ( not sure now ) ties with OP Productions shareholders" Qoute from Sergey Titov head cheese behind WarZ/ISS and heavily involved with OP Productions.
I won't be touching this game with his stink involved.
@Gonefishing95 Agreed: Having no character indicators and almost identical player models is probably the worst game design decision I've ever seen...
Because people would piss and moan about how overused zombies are. Probably why Nether has "mutants" instead.
@brokenapplestoday's zombies have no virus in the blood, only hot peppers in the ass
@Plinkmo Sorry but, it's not free. :P
@Plinkmo those graphics? good luck!
@StotheG do u have downs?
@jessie82 People also like burning themselves with hot objects. From what I gather, The kind of people that like starting over and over again are the ones that don't really value their time ie. have no life to begin with. maybe wrong.
@k0k066 You can buy cosmetics for your character like clothing and such. Like he said they removed 3rd person for the immersion. Players like me prefer the immersion of the game.
@edviges It's not Zombies nimrod.
You can buy cosmetics for you character to set them apart.
Also the world just went to hell, do you really think people will have shiny gold letters on their rear end so you can tell them apart? No. Everybody will have a set of beat up, raggedy torn up clothes.
Not to mention that guy is not a proper sniper. A sniper will hole up in a vantage point with a spotter and take proper shots. He was just taking panic shots without thinking.
ALSO they were not effectively communicating with each other. If you properly communicate with your team then you dont have that issue. If you go into an area and properly clear it and keep your communication going, you dont have that issue since you will know where every player is. Its that guys fault for running off away from the group like that.
@mucking_foron That's a harsh statement. So people have no lives if they like to play games where you may have to start over again once in a while? Not everyone is a fan of building up a character for hours/days/years.
I don't see how a video game can make your life worth more than any other individual's on this planet.
@dougfreshjr @ah17278 I don't know what's wrong with u ...... but I think you must go see a shrink ; if that's your normal reply to other's opinion ... Seriously go check your self !
