Looks fun..Looks REALLY fun. I'm glad I'm not one of those gamers that has to trash anything new that comes out with the "everything sucks" attitude. I'm glad I can have fun with my games.
Really? This is the direction we're going in with games? Reminds me way too much of Saturday morning cartoon fun for 10 year olds! Who in the heck is going to play these kind of game besides 10 year olds? Just like Plants vs Zombies except you get to elevate higher and move faster. Friggin' incredible that somebody could even convince the powers above that this was a good premise for a game! I've tried to watch different trailers for this game about 4 times to see if I was just missing something. But, I couldn't even make it through and had to turn the trailer off due to how completely rediculously dumb this game is. Sorry folks, first time I've ever bag on a game idea before but I just couldn't believe this whole idea of a game is for real!
I was mainly on Xbox360 but plugged in the PS3 for the ratchet and resistance games. Now I'm on PS4 and Insomniac is doing a Xbox-exclusive... Was it something I said?
hmmm...........not too shabby, but not my type of game. what really pisses me off is NO RESISTANCE 4
That s a weird one for me , look good but killing stuff don t seem that fun and that s a big problem for me since it s one really important part of those games .
hmmmm don't know what to think of this game but either way imsoniac don't say its fast paced then show slow ass grinding xD
They copied Infamous 1 Cole's ability to grind on the electrical power lines.
The game looks average, not the type of game to hype about unless there is nothing more interesting coming to the console.
Looks like Dead Rising+Infamous with a little bit of Jet Set Radio thrown in.
Looks interesting, not sure if I'll get it though. Only because there are a ton of other games being released this fall too.
I'll wait and see
coming from a pc-only gamer, this looks like a helluva lot of fun. good for xo. it'll come to pc eventually. i'm getting old, but i refuse to let life take away my imagination -- as a small town journalist, i hold it dear.
It looks interesting, the sliding about on phone lines doesn't interest me. But I'm loving the bright coloring, smooth edges, and great lightning. If I get into next gen, this may be a title I'll pick up.
Oooooh my god... are they serious with this retarded shit? Haven't seen a game that looks this embarrassingly stupid since Knack.
Wow I can't believe people are excited about this game, to me it looks like it would get boring rather quickly, to each his own I guess.
Maybe if I was younger I would still like these kinds of games, I'm getting old.
@charlieholmes Not everything has to be about gloom, zombies and end of the world.
@charlieholmes I literally can't comprehend the amount of explosive stupid in this post.
@lek_zie Just finished the latest Infamous, certainly enjoyed it but this looks way better
@daviz88 Sadly they are not making Resistance games anymore, well from the last of what i heard. But I would love to see someone take up the series and make a prequel to the game
@virtualskill Looks like someone didn't watch the video closely enough. And I played all the inFamous games if you're going to argue about that.
@TristanPR77 Jet Set Radio already did that sir.
@mike468 That's exactly what I said Jet Set Radio mixed with Infamous, to me the game looks like it would get boring quickly, but I don't really like games like this so it's not for me.
I would love to know what they mean by "Next Gen Respawns" though, that has to be the silliest thing ever, like they couldn't drop you out of a van or UFO on last gen lol.
@wgerardi I think you're the one retarded here. The game looks great. This game looks a lot moer exciting then any Knack.
@Rotondi here's Infamous but probably with better bosses, more combat variety, more humor, and also multiplayer
@Rotondi more like ratchet and clank mix with borderlands
@mkeezay22 Stick with the PC then. No one cares.
@mkeezay22 waiting for a good bingo video game to come out i guess?
@mkeezay22 yeah.. you're getting old.
You say this just because you don't have the xbox one
@leakingdogmilk @mkeezay22 no I say it because it looks repetitious, they could release it on PC for free and I would still consider it boring, you do the same thing over and over it has no depth, I am 29 years old and games like that just don't do it for me that's my preference.
Sorry if it offends you that I think riding along wires shooting all the time isn't very fun.
@cooolio @mkeezay22@Tomcat2007@leakingdogmilk Yeh I'm going to have to upgrade my internet now anyway, it seems with a new generation of games has come the generation of massive file sizes and in MP a lot more information to be shared between players, I get horrible lag when I play certain games now, yet my slower connection 5-6 years ago was fine with MP games.
I'm glad Fortnite has re-emerged and looks great, the month long coverage on GameInformer released a lot of info that has me excited to play it, mostly being able to build a permanent structure I can upgrade over time and fill with deadly traps for other players to get killed in on MP games.
@mkeezay22 @cooolio @Tomcat2007 @leakingdogmilk Yeah I fully understand what you mean by that. Hopefully the side missions and factions will add more. I could really see the mulitplayer aspect being necessary to add even more depth to the experience.
I would love to get Fortnite, but it seems to be very multiplayer focused and my internet makes multiplayer a no go
@cooolio @mkeezay22@Tomcat2007@leakingdogmilk It's not the style, I want to play Fortnite and it has a similar style but has building and trap elements I like, from what I've seen of this game it looks very repetitive ( I know I don't have all the games details) and games like that became boring to me a long time ago, it may surprise me and have way more to it than I think but I'm going on what I've seen so far.
@mkeezay22 @Tomcat2007 @leakingdogmilk Yeah, but lets be fair here. We do not know what else the game has to offer, and the wacky and endless combat possibilities combined with the traversal already adds a since of depth. You said yourself that these kinds of games do not appeal to you anymore and that is cool, but it is not fair to say that the game lacks depth because its style does not appeal to you.
@cooolio @Tomcat2007@mkeezay22@leakingdogmilk Well it is Insomniac so if there wasn't an infinite amount of ways to kill I'd be surprised.
And it's not really the goofy feel, I actually don't mind that, it's just from what I've seen it's the same thing over and over, but like you said there is more so maybe it will surprise me.
@Tomcat2007 @mkeezay22@leakingdogmilk Yes exactly it isn't my kind of game, I said earlier "to each his own I guess" meaning if it's your kind of game go for it, but still someone has to turn it into a console thing.
When I was younger I could play games like this for days but now it just isn't fun for me, even Trials Fusion which I actually love just gets boring after a bit because it's so repetitive, I prefer a game with depth like you said.
@Tomcat2007 @mkeezay22 @leakingdogmilk It is nothing to worry about. The combat is only a small part of the game and they are making it so that there are an infinite amount of combat scenarios you can create. Few games seek to make combat that alone gives replay value.
Besides, there is a lot more to this game. We have not seen the factions or if there will populated areas with these faction. There is also still coop, the changing world thanks to the cloud, and etc.
So there is no need for you to try and defend the game. Some people just do not like games that have a goofy wacky feel to them. I may find it to kind of sad, but there is nothing wrong with it.
@mkeezay22 @leakingdogmilk but isn't that what you do in most combat oriented video games, do the same thing over and over to some extent? I mean, if it's a shooter you go around and shoot things and fight bosses. Maybe a deep RPG with a complex story and plot where you go around and talk to people, solve quests and puzzles, and do deep character customization might be more your taste, but this isn't an RPG.
